  1. As it has always been, it is in the manual (though I will see if I can make it less open to misinterpretation). As it states, (Actual) PC 1 recalls preset slot 1. The potential confusion arises in that PC0 is not assigned to anything, but no off-by-1 error, which MIDI monitoring software will verify. I’m not going to belabour this any further as I’ve got recovery to do.
  2. ❤️ Oh, Mike, that’s lovely. Thank you ever so much! Looking forward to hearing about the wedding and holiday too.
  3. By screwed up, I presume you mean doing cross-border loans is now a headache. I think when you loaned me that it was before the full insanity kicked in. Morten had a nightmare when I had to return a wireless mouse receiver that he had accidentally left in a Mortrix beta unit he sent me.
  4. It’s not yet available. It was just shown at the trade show.
  5. I wasn’t griping. Though I’m not actually paid to do support; I do it off my own back.
  6. I had suggested a protective canopy or wall for the encoder but that was met with reluctance. The raised sides was the next idea I had for putting distance between the encoder and switch whilst shrinking the footprint to as small as possible. The layout of the circuit obviously made certain changes impossible. Many folks will be triggering via a controller anyway so won’t be an issue for those people. I used the Beat Buddy and Line 6 One as examples when I was suggesting raised parts. One could add a wide footswitch topper to further reduce clumsiness.
  7. 😆 This has happened so very often.
  8. The switches are on raised sides so, like other similarly designed pedals, provide clearance between the switch and encoder.
  9. Presuming you might be talking about MIDI PC numbers. If so, let’s not beat that dead horse again. 😀 The new official mini housing is almost half the size of the original unit and even smaller than Darren’s 3D-printed one. See picture I shared a couple of days ago.
  10. That’s one sweet bass. I was sorely tempted, and so local to me. Hope you love it.
  11. Another easy deal with @Jonathan Bee, this time with me as the buyer. Jonathan very kindly sent me his Octabvre Mini to test, with the option to buy or return it. It’s as lovely as I remember my old MKII being so I decided to buy it. Many thanks.
  12. The Octabvre Mini pictured here is now mine too. Thanks, @Jonathan Bee!
  13. Hi, just wondering if there’s anyone on here who’d be willing to loan me one of these for up to a week. I’ve finally got an OC-2 and just got an Octabvre Mini and would love to try the Cog against these. (I had a v1 T-16 years ago and recently had the T-47, but have never had the chance to put these all side by side.) I’d be happy to pay postage both ways of course and as folks like @ped, @dodge_bass, @charlietuna, @GisserD, @Al Krow and @tonyxtiger who’ve all been kind enough to loan me pedals in the recent and distant past can attest, I always take care of them and return them promptly and in the condition in which they arrived. Thanks in anticipation.
  14. Trade possible against a Cog T-16/T-47 plus cash adjustment to you. Same for a Markbass Vintage Pre.
  15. Still the best synth pedal, but now even better. New update imminent which adds the ability to trigger synths over MIDI using the audio input! Good price and top seller. Someone needs to jump on this.
  16. Forgot to mention, the mini housing is 12x8cm and made of aluminium, so just over half the size of the original and just as sturdy. I anticipate these will outsell the bigger version.
  17. Only difference is in the housing size. This is its first public appearance, though there was a bit of garnering of opinions earlier in the year. I haven’t been told a release date for the enclosure yet. The firmware with MIDI should be soon though, some further testing to make sure it’s bug-free and I need to update the manual. Won’t be able to do anything next week as I won’t be able to sit up for more than about 10-20 minutes at a time for about a week or so after the op.
  18. No, it’s Panda’s design in collaboration with me. Thanks, not looking forward to it but needs must.
  19. I can look into postage on this if that is the prohibiting factor. I’d need to find a suitable second box though in order to double-box it.
  20. Do you see that gap on my pedalboard? That’s where the VBO was until today. It’s now in the for-sale section. In all seriousness though, the VBO is really excellent, the best tracking I’ve ever had, tiny, plenty of gain and incredibly close to the OC-2; it’s a shade buzzier than the OC-2 on certain notes, like the lowpass filter is ever so slightly further open, consequently the OC-2 sounds a hair fatter, but there’s not much in it. The VBO’s pitch detection circuit is silent when not playing; no chatter. The Octabvre is great, though its pitch detection circuit is quite chattery (a bit like the Cog ones); it’s also pretty close to the OC-2, maybe a tad less fat and dark, with a bit more honk (but that’s a nice honk). The Octabvre plays very nicely with filters when opening up its tone control. I used to have the MKII and really should’ve kept it. I have this mini on loan with the option to buy it and I’m really torn. I don’t really need two octavers but this does do something a bit different. Would love to put the T-16 or T-47 up against this; the Cogs have more range at both ends of their tone knob.
  21. I’ve transacted with Paul before with me as the seller, so it was nice to do things the other way around this time. Paul answered my wanted ad for an OC-2 and was incredibly kind in sending it to me to try with no obligation to buy. I don’t think I could have asked for a nicer example of the pedal, it really looks like it’s been in a time capsule. Sounds lovely too and I bought it the day it arrived. Many thanks.
  22. Finally, after 30 years of bass playing, a Japanese OC-2. Only the 2nd OC-2 I’ve ever played (the Taiwanese one next to it is one I just borrowed a few weeks ago).
  23. Brilliant octave pedal in outstanding condition. Now surplus to my needs. I have owned this from new. (It had a brief couple of months with someone else when I sold it but later bought it back again.) For anyone unaware of this, Dunlop borrowed Janek Gwizdala’s Japanese OC-2 to use as a benchmark for creating this pedal. Huge sound in a tiny enclosure in a rather fetching blue sparkle. Comes with original box, paperwork and UK power supply. Price includes mainland UK postage via Special Delivery. Never been velcroed. This one was purchased after the extra noise reduction resistor was added as standard. (Early units had a noisy detection circuit, but Dunlop will fix/replace any of those for free, even if warranty has expired or you aren’t the original owner. Great customer service!)
