  1. I bagged an as-new Sentry on eBay. Thanks for the tip, @CameronJ!
  2. The comparison should only be made between the 95 when the upper blue light is on and the green light is off (that is when it is in 90 block mode).
  3. I bought that one. Bump for a fun and versatile pedal.
  4. I’d read conflicting statements. Says true bypass in my user manuals (and that is clearly absent from the 95 user manual and that of the EVH model). Though I’ve read that there are different things meant by “true bypass” and “true hardwire bypass”. Maybe I should’ve gone for the 95. The script/block difference is definitely noticeable to me. (It’s the same as turning the resonance Q/knob up on other filters). It makes more difference to me in the extreme slow and fast sweeps. The block pedal sounds fantastic in the low speeds but messy in the fast (it also has a noticeably faster top speed than the script pedal). The script sounds really good at faster speeds as the peaks are more subtle. It’s not as dramatic at lower speeds as the block but is still a great sound.
  5. ...and they all keep ending up at @Sibob‘s house!
  6. I’ve had a reply from Nathan Navarro of Source Audio: Apparently the LED not always moving on is normal. The locking up thing is a bug and one which he was able to replicate on their gear so he’s passed it to the engineers and hopefully there’ll be a bug fix. It basically happens if you cycle quickly through the “option” button. @CameronJ, @GisserD, @Al Krow, @BNB71
  7. This gives a run through of the different sounds available via the switches and it seems to have a slow enough sweep.
  8. Also, there was someone in the marketplace looking to buy a Phase 90 (unless it was you).
  9. As far as I could tell from reading up on it and listening to demos, the 95 does both the script and block versions (lower and higher resonance respectively) of both the (4-stage) 90 and the (2-stage) 45. The only reason I didn’t go for it was that the 95 is not true bypass. (I bought both a block and script 90 instead, and it’s cool running them in series.)
  10. By the way, you might want to edit the first post: “Manta” not “Mantra” just in case anyone tries using the search function.
  11. @funkydario, where are these being sent from and does the Aftershock come with its original box etc?
  12. If at some point you do decide to split this please let me know as I was looking for an Aftershock.
  13. I’d like to try one. I like the fact that each of the three channels has its own dedicated filter knob so it is possible to dial in 3 very distinct sounds.
  14. I see what you did there. I have CDO - it’s like OCD but the letters are arranged alphabetically.
  15. Literally one for every day of the week! @CameronJ, this makes your idea of having 3 Octamizers a less outlandish proposal that it first appeared. Interesting how this fits the theme of “if you could choose just one octave pedal”; so you get to do both - having only one but also having many. (Though do I spy a Sub ‘n’ Up in the left of the frame?)
  16. I did consider getting the one that was up for sale but the lack of resonance control on the top put me off (there is a two-position dip switch inside). @paulo m, have you had it side by side with the Wonderlove? If so, why do you prefer the GR2?
  17. Should say on the back sticker with all the electrical information. It’ll either say something like “made in Italy” or “designed in Italy - assembled in Indonesia”
  18. Thanks. It seems a shame they didn’t include the more modern truss adjustment, especially as he says in the ad that they’re not tied to period features and wanted to include improvements. (I think Musicman have the right approach; they never do straight reissues, but always include improvements (like 6-bolt plate and spokewheel truss rod nut).) Still a nice bass though.
  19. Ah, I remember checking these out when they were announced and totally wanted one as it seemed like a great combination. By the way, is the truss rod but one of the newer ones which can be adjusted with a hex key without having to remove the neck? @drlargepants
  20. “More reckless” is probably more accurate.
