1. I hadn't thought of going from send straight to return. That's a good idea! Thanks. I'll check out a clean blend pedal too, thanks for the suggestion. However, I'm sure there are other ways I could use the LS-2 too. I'm basically trying to achieve the function of the "dry" and "fx" knobs of the MXR M82 but using a Q-Tron instead.
2. Hi guys, I wonder if boss line selector users in here might be able to help. I was wondering if I could use the LC-2 in "A+B Mix" mode in conjunction with a Q-Tron to get a mix of the dry and wet signal. The original Q-Tron has a separate "direct out" socket. My idea would be: plug the bass into the input of the LS-2; plug "line A send" into the Q-Tron; plug the "effect out" of the Q-Tron into "line A return" of the LS-2; Plug the "direct out" of the Q-Tron into "line B return" of the LS-2. My question is, would that work because I wouldn't be sending any signal from the "line B send"? From what I can gather from the block diagram, it appears that the line volume is applied to the received return signal as opposed to the sent signal. Also, would I need to have a jack plugged into "line B send" in order for that line to be activated? Thanks
3. Will the Velcro come off without leaving marks or damaging the bottom? If so, I'd like to buy it (the pedal, not the Velcro). :-) It is the M82, right? PM sent.
4. 1.5" nut. I found it to be a slightly thicker C shape compared to my American standard.
5. I just completed the sale of my GK Microbass amp with Lloyd. It was a flawless transaction, he paid promptly and communicated clearly and quickly when organising both the payment and the courier collection. A pleasure to deal with.
6. I had one of these until quite recently (I sold it on here). These are great basses for the money.
7. A couple of videos, one showing the scratchy pots, the other showing the exterior surfaces. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8ccOsRLSKfrUkdXRGlka3pTalk
8. Am I right in thinking that the P pickup is closer to the neck on this model than it is on a standard Precision?
9. I tried one of these at Windows in Newcastle a couple of years ago. It was lovely. I might have bought this had this come up a couple of months ago as it satisfies so many desires: 70s Jazz styling and comfort, 60s position rear Jazz pickup and a Precision pickup! Still tempted to be honest.
10. Would a jazz body with a P neck suit you? I want to pair a P body with a Jazz neck. Maybe we could both benefit.
11. Where are all the post-2012 Oly white/rosewood ones? Good luck with the sale.
12. Shame it's not Oly White, I'd have bought it in a heartbeat.
13. Here's a link to the manual if there's anything else you need to check regarding specifications: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/52d881e0e4b093afad1a2ae2/t/54a313cce4b040ef97cdc499/1419973580300/Micro-Bass.pdf
14. Do you mean XLR Direct Out? If so, yes, there's one on the left of the front panel.
15. The only thing I've found worth bearing in mind when putting flats on a jazz is to not go too heavy on the gauge; some of the burpiness also comes from being able to dig in a bit harder on the rear pickup. I found with higher tension sets (such as fender 50-100) it was difficult to achieve. Better with D'Addario Chromes. 50-105s were still a bit stiff playing by the bridge (but I still love them, especially for the neck pickup); 45-100s seem to work better.
16.
Ah, but what about the tuners and the fret wire? The material of the nut? The thickness and age of the lacquer?? These things can have a massive influence on tone you know...
He actually takes tuners from the rosewood neck and mounts them on the maple neck. (Though I'm sure your comment was intended tongue-in-cheek.) :-)
17. Jasper Høiby is playing at the Voicebox and is stuck for an amp for his upright. Is there anyone who might be able to help out (or know someone who might)? Please PM me. Thanks.
