1. Thanks, Karl. Good job I'm not in a hurry. It seems like I picked the wrong time to list it as two others came up too. I'd be prepared to bring it to London and a few other destinations if a sale was definite. Pm replied to.
2. Seriously, no-one is interested in this? What can I do to alter this?!
3.
So, I'm a bit slow (from Darlington originally you see). If you were prepared to take a Precision with rosewood board, to swap the necks out, would it make any difference if a Precision came along with a maple board?
I did think that myself. However, I thought that I'd be more likely to find someone to swap with if it had the same fingerboard wood as the one I wanted to acquire; the only difference would be the nut width.
4. I'd also consider a Fender American Standard Precision with its own rosewood neck as I could always buy a Jazz neck separately to swap out. As before, in Olympic white.
5. Sorry guys, if it's not on my trade list, then I'm not interested. Thanks. However, I will add that I'd also consider a Fender American Standard Precision with USA Standard Jazz rosewood neck in olympic white on the off chance that someone has one.
6. The Bob Glaub (44-64) has a optional 38mm nut width (on the Lakland website). There was one for sale on here a few months ago. The Duck Dunn model has blocks and binding on the neck (which I love on Jazz basses but am not as fussed about on Precision basses).
7. Hi Karl, with Jazz basses I'm only interested in blocked and bound boards (unless it were a fretless).
8. I'm going to give this another shot... Selling my Sadowsky MV4-HPJ as I have decided that maple boards really aren't my thing. I've had this for a couple of years now and got it from another forum member. Comes with the Sadowsky light case and is currently strung with Sadowsky 45-105 flats and is in outstanding condition. Trade-wise I'd be interested in the following 4-string basses (with the exception of 7., the bass must have a rosewood board and a Jazz-width nut): 1. Sadowsky HPJ in natural, olympic white or transparent white. 2. Lakland Bob Glaub, P or (preferably) PJ in natural, Olympic white or transparent white 3. Fender USA Deluxe Jazz (bound and blocked) 4. Fender Jazz 75RI (Jap or USA), Natural, olympic white or transparent white 5. Musicman Stingray SLO, in natural, honeyburst, olympic white or transparent white 6. Musicman Big Al SSS, olympic or transparent white 7. Fender USA Standard Precision in Olympic white If the bass you want to trade is not on the above list, please don't ask; I'm really not interested in anything else. Trial is welcome in Sheffield. Collection only. Any questions, just drop me a line. 9. Not sure about this, but would you consider a trade for a Sadowsky HPJ?n
10. Still available. Maybe you could both do a timeshare on this, paying half each! :-)
11. Still available. All PMs replied to. (Sorry, having connection issues, should be sorted by end of Wednesday.)
12.
Oddly enough there is nothing in it between the cherryburst Sterling (sans mutes) and the darker burst Sterling with mutes, I am simply keeping the muted one because of the two it may be worth something in the future!
Shame, I really wanted to get that one when it came up for sale last time but was totally broke. I've played a Sterling for a few years now but really wish mine had the mutes. If you change your mind....
13. Or you could sell me your honeyburst Sterling with the mutes. :-)
14. I'm pretty sure this used to be yours (I emailed you with some questions the first time you listed it as I had only just become aware of them). I bought it from Bassbod (Duncan).
15. Photos, as promised. As you can see, it comes in the original case. Price dropped to same as other listed here (not interested in a profit, just want to buy the oly white one and not be out of pocket).
16. It really is a beaut. I wouldn't even be considering letting it go if it weren't for the chance of getting one with a rosewood board. (Won't be too disappointed if no-one bites on it). Hope you are well, Duncan! (Managed to pick up a gk microbass finally, thanks again for the advice.)
