Marcus Miller Jazz for £400 with buy-it-now!
Quatschmacher replied to Quatschmacher's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Nothing's selling very well at the moment though, so it wouldn't shock me if it doesnt reach 400. Nick
I just had a look at the recently completed listings for Marcus Miller basses: 1 for £500, one for £580! Seriously, If I'd had the funds in my account yesterday when I saw this for £400 I'd have jumped on it. Maybe the seller isn't aware of the prices they fetched recently so it still may be worth contacting the seller to see if he'll end the auction for £400. Or you could arrange to go round and try it and just take the £400 with you and offer it then. If it were local to me, I'd do it. -

Marcus Miller Jazz for £400 with buy-it-now!
Quatschmacher replied to Quatschmacher's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
WHAT?! Who was daft enough to not use the buy-it-now of £400? It's not likely to go in an auction for cheaper than that. Some people are just plain bonkers. -
Just spotted this Fender Marcus Miller for a bargain price - £400 with a buy it now (downside is that immediate payment is required via Paypal). If anyone lives near the seller they ought to rouse him out of his bed in the early hours to get their mittens on this at this price!

Just sold some strings to Pete. Great communication throughout and swift payment. I'd have no hesitation in trading with him in the future. Recommended.

How much should I pay for a used Gallien 400RB-IV-210?

Thanks for the reply. It was an ebay auction starting at £250 which I thought would be worth paying. In the end it actually went for £320, so probably good that I didn't bid. -
Hi guys, I've got a lightly used set of flats that I'd like to sell on. The reason is that they're a bit on the light side for me - I just found out that the "mystery" D'Addarios that came with my bass are in fact 50-105 and I really like that gauge. I installed the EBs in January and they've seen two 2-hour rehearsals and a few spots of personal practice; they've just begun to break in a little (some of the brightness has begun to go). They've been cut to my Sterling so the G-string won't fit on a jazz-type headstock now, but perhaps someone out there can use them. Any takers at £5 plus (actual) shipping?
Please tell me where I can get a set of 'named' flatwounds for that price!
I got a set of EB flats for about £10 shipped to my door. Ebay shops based in the USA are the way to go for cheap strings, check out the links in this post for a couple of suggestions. Browse the Talkbass classifieds too, I just picked up a set of Fender flats for £7 shipped!

I'd check out this ebay shop for cheap strings. The selection isn't huge but the prices are great. There are great prices here too, depending on what you're looking for.

Anyone tried a Sterling in one of these? My current case is a huge thing and is really awkward when using public transport to get to rehearsals. These shaped ones might be ideal. The only thing I'd be worried about is that there doesn't seem to be much space between the outside edge of the case and the bass itself; if it were to take a big-ish knock I'm not sure it would prevent damge (there doesn't seem to be much "crumple zone"). Does the compartment in the middle accomodate a packaged set of strings? (My current case is huge but oddly doesn't have a compartment large enough for strings!)

How much should I pay for a used Gallien 400RB-IV-210?
Quatschmacher posted a topic in Amps and Cabs
Hi guys, I did a search in this section on this and didn't find what I was looking for. I'm currently without a gigging amp and am interested in a GK400RB combo and would like to know what is reasonable to pay for a (lightly) used one. I've looked on the TB forum and I saw one go for $275. Obviously the UK being as overpriced as it is, I don't expect to find one that cheap, but I would like to have a rough idea as one has come up locally but I'm not sure whether to bite. Any help is appreciated. Thanks -
How do the guys at Ishibashi like to be paid? Credit Card. Paypal, money transfer?

You should definitely contact ebay and have them remove the feedback - it is against the rules to post negative feedback if you (either the buyer or seller) has not tried to resolve the issue first by using the official ebay "dispute" process. Look up "dispute" in the ebay help pages to see how it's meant to work. I had to use it oncw when a buyer decided he couldn't pay for the item he bought from me.

Nice Sterling! These are great basses. If it was a fretless I'd have been selling off a few things and buying it from you. Just bought a fretted in natural recently from the States but honeyburst is the other finish I really like and I'd like to get a fretless in that finish. Good luck with the sale and have a free bump.

Fender USA Fretless Jazz in Sunburst!!!
Quatschmacher replied to KevinJazzBass's topic in Basses For Sale
Maybe this will get a response..... free to a good home. Lol n seems nobody wanta fretless jazz at the minute.... even the ones the ebay arent doing very well. Kev BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was seriously thinking of offering on this until a Sterling came up at a price for which it would have been criminal not to buy. God bless the weak dollar :-) I'd still love to get one of these but I've got no spare cash now. The only thing I could possibly offer in trade is a Nord Electro 2 rack (but I'd hazard a guess that you wouldn't be interested in that). Also I don't really want to part with it unless I have to.
