  1. No thanks, Cameron. My list is specific and I’m trying to ensure it doesn’t grow. (I’m debating whether to buy the used Data Corrupter that my local shop has.)
  2. I picked up a Sonuus G2M V3 to use with my bass guitar though the latency is still pretty off-putting. I’m running the Minitaur from a controller keyboard at present (until I can afford an industrial Radio MIDI bass).
  3. In each VCO there are 4 sliders in the “amplitude” section - saw, square, triangle and volume. I presume the sliders are for the volume of each waveform so what is the “volume” slider for? Is it like a master volume for that VCO after one has select the proportion of each waveform one wants to hear? That is, regardless of the mix of waveform sliders in any given oscillator, will that oscillator only make a sound if the “volume” slider in the “amplitude” section is above zero? Or is it the volume of the dry bass signal? It looks like I might have difficulty recreating some of these as each oscillator has 3 waveforms. The Minitaur only has 2 oscillators and only one waveform per oscillator can be used at once.
  4. You’re a star! Thanks very much!
  5. THE best-tracking analogue octaver bar none.
  6. Great price on this for anyone looking for one.
  7. Any Future Impact users on here? Would one of you kindly be able to send me a list or an editor screenshot of the parameter settings (oscillator types and volumes, envelope shapes, filter cutoff, resonance, etc) for the following Future Impact presets? I’d like to try and recreate them on my Minitaur. The patches are 1, 3, 6, 32 and 85. Thanks in advance! @HazBeen, @Bo0tsy, @tonyxtiger, @GisserD
  8. Sold a Phase 90 to Paul earlier in the week. It was a straightforward transaction with friendly communication throughout. Many thanks.
  9. When I popped back into my local store to get them to price match one of the guys who works there told me he’s bought stuff from them before, so that is reassuring.
  10. Ah, I wasn’t aware of that. Though I know this was the case for early versions of the Xerograph.
  11. Looks like top to me: https://ironether.com/pedals/oxide/
  12. @GisserD has a wanted ad for one of these.
  13. I reckon it’s an April Fool’s joke waiting to happen for an unsuspecting vocalist.
  14. I’m using flatwounds, which might make a difference to what is and isn’t boosted.
  15. I’ve never opened the back and done this as it’s always given me great results as is.
  16. @Nothingman is looking for one.
  17. I have both and they’re both well worth the money. Get The Meters one too, thank me later.
  18. This is where my GAS is directed:
  19. It’s pretty cool. I’ve just ordered the Sonuus G2M V3 so will try it with my bass hopefully tomorrow. I had loads of fun last night figuring stuff out. Took a while to get my head around one of the more in-depth modulation sources. It’s a really good way to get acquainted with synthesis. What I’m finding especially instructive is being able to shape the envelopes precisely; that’s always a bit fiddly when using envelope-controlled filters on bass guitar. The only downside for me is that some features are currently only accessible via the editor software, though I have an idea of how to squeeze a few more into the shift mode and so will suggest them to Moog. It’s made me realise that I need to learn more about MIDI. If anyone has any pointers on how I can send specific MIDI CCs from my keyboard (with specified values between 0 and 127) then I’m all ears. I should probably get some kind of MIDI foot controller so I can jump to presets I’ve created. @Bo0tsy, look into getting the CP251 too so you can manipulate the envelope out signal on the MF-101 and then feed it back into the cutoff jack.
  20. Indeed. “Bass” defines the frequency range. It’s a bass but is not a bass guitar, which is why I posted here as opposed to the Bass Guitars section. Sounds awesome regardless.
  21. There are 2 volumes of the Aretha Atlantic stuff, both are worth getting, as is the Curtis Mayfield one.
  22. I’m probably going to try the new Sonuus G2M V3 and see if it’s any better than the previous versions (until I can afford an Industrial Radio MIDI bass). This version has an audio through port so I’m going to try routing the bass’s audio signal through the Minitaur too and use the G2M to trigger the envelopes. That way, in theory, I should be able to use the Minitaur on my bass’s audio signal with a fixed envelope pattern or as an envelope-controlled filter (by dialling in the sensitivity to MIDI velocity). Oh, and of course, use my bass to trigger the oscillators. Or a mixture of both. Just thinking if there’s a way to use my LS-2 so that I can choose whether my bass’s audio goes either through the filter or is blended (cleanly) with the synth oscillators.
  23. At £2 per CD it’s not such a loss if there’s a few duff tracks. Some of these sets are amazing value (Bootsy, Meters, Dr John, Donny Hathaway, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane to name a few) for someone who doesn’t already own the albums.
  24. Thanks for this, I’d never heard this and will be checking out more by this lady. Just spotted that there’s one of those “Original Album Classics” 5CD sets of her work for not too much.
  25. Chuck’s the bassist on this track:
