  1. By the way, the “Tim” switch isn’t a dry kill switch, rather it adds a massive sub frequency boost. The bigger MKII has both the dry kill footswitch and the Tim toggle switch.
  2. These are great and Jonathan is great to deal with.
  3. Just had another great transaction with Gavin, hilariously involving me buying back the pedal I sold him a few months ago (we’ve all been there, right?). All sorted quickly and efficiently with prompt, clear and friendly communication throughout. Many thanks.
  4. Been a fan for years. Went to see him a couple of years ago too. If you like him, check out Dabeull too.
  5. Physics dictates that pitch is a function of string length, string mass and string tension. Height has nothing to do with it. If the sounding string length and string mass remain the same, then the tension required to maintain a base pitch of say 55 Hz on the A string remains the same. Lowering the height just narrows the distance one has to press the strings, which costs less physical effort. The further one increases the string height, the further one is stretching the string in order to bring it into contact with the fret, hence the more under tension from the base value the string becomes when fretting compared to lower string heights.
  6. Yep, insanely light! I have FS on one of my Ps and the G string is too thin for my tastes.🙂 To the OP, lowering the string heights a bit will make them easier to play if you’re finding them too much effort currently.
  7. Just spotted these today and wonder if they are infringing on Aclam’s patent: https://www.joyoaudio.co.uk/JOYO-rockdriver-pedal-case-board/
  8. Don’t know why I’ve never yet listened to Patrice’s albums between 1974’s “Prelusion” and 1982’s “Straight From The Heart” (the one with “Forget-Me-Nots”). I will be rectifying this oversight in short order.
  9. Now for sale. I need to rationalise my gear.
  10. I can attest to Iain’s service on here as I bought a bass from him a while ago. Quite tempted by this (though lower down on the list of finishes I like) as I’m after a 2EQ Stingray but really want to wait until my Shuker P sells.
  11. Trades considered against the following: Cog T-16 Boss OC-2 Markbass Vintage Pre Origin Cali 76 Compact Bass Empress Bass compressor mk2 Triungulo Barbanera PastFX 101 Mu-Tron III or 3x Mu-Tron Phaser III or Baby Phase Chase Bliss Wombtone MKII Crowther Prunes & Custard
  12. Might move my Source Audio Bass ZIO on but I’ve not decided yet, I do like it. Possibly my Spectrum too.
  13. I’ve now bought my old MXR VBO back and so later in the week the balance should be restored.
  14. No you didn’t. That was the EQ2. I’ve only ever had this one C4.
  15. If anyone is attending the Guitar Summit in Mannheim in September, Panda will be there and I should be exhibiting with them. https://www.guitarsummit.de/?lang=en
  16. Is a lovely filter indeed and may have belonged to me at some point. Does the Mutron thing very well but with greater control over the envelope shape, nice internal FX loop for running fuzzes without sacrificing dynamics, and the envelope follower works way better for slap playing than most other filters I’ve tried.
  17. These are great. I was toying with the idea of selling mine as I usually use my Broughton Fliptop but I had them side by side again last night and this does bring something a bit different, good heft but really clear and articulate with it. (Double stops sound great on it.)
  18. I’d like to buy my old VBO back, please, presuming it’s still in the same condition.
  19. I’ve managed to borrow one for a while in exchange for lending a friend Artifakt. I’m enjoying it. Not sure it’s hugely different from the MXR I sold you. I am considering getting another one to replace it (which would be the third I’ve bought)! Cull is continuing: I’ve even listed my C4 now too. (@2pods, I presume you’ve already got one by now.)
  20. Darren hasn’t been able to fulfil orders unfortunately as he’s not been well. Panda are working on their own compact housing.
  21. While the C4 filters are great, they don’t quite capture the resonance of an analogue filter (Artifakt does though). They also cap at 6kHz (Artifakt is full range).
  22. Ah yes, forgot about that. On the big Qtron and microtron amp gain and envelope gain can be separated.
  23. If sensitivity (gain) is lowered on the MuTron then it’ll be static but there’s no control over cutoff frequency aside from the high/low range switch. “Peak” is the resonance control so just boosts frequencies around the cutoff.
  24. Try it with resonance all the way down as that will make the band as wide as possible. It’ll be quite subtle anyway.
