La Bella 760FL (43 - 104) tension question.
Quatschmacher replied to MungoBass's topic in Accessories and Misc
Yep, insanely light! I have FS on one of my Ps and the G string is too thin for my tastes.🙂 To the OP, lowering the string heights a bit will make them easier to play if you’re finding them too much effort currently. -
Just spotted these today and wonder if they are infringing on Aclam’s patent: https://www.joyoaudio.co.uk/JOYO-rockdriver-pedal-case-board/

Now for sale. I need to rationalise my gear.

Source Audio C4 Synth - FREE UK Delivery - *SOLD*

Might move my Source Audio Bass ZIO on but I’ve not decided yet, I do like it. Possibly my Spectrum too.
-
I’ve now bought my old MXR VBO back and so later in the week the balance should be restored.
-
No you didn’t. That was the EQ2. I’ve only ever had this one C4.

If anyone is attending the Guitar Summit in Mannheim in September, Panda will be there and I should be exhibiting with them. https://www.guitarsummit.de/?lang=en

Is a lovely filter indeed and may have belonged to me at some point. Does the Mutron thing very well but with greater control over the envelope shape, nice internal FX loop for running fuzzes without sacrificing dynamics, and the envelope follower works way better for slap playing than most other filters I’ve tried.

I’ve managed to borrow one for a while in exchange for lending a friend Artifakt. I’m enjoying it. Not sure it’s hugely different from the MXR I sold you. I am considering getting another one to replace it (which would be the third I’ve bought)! Cull is continuing: I’ve even listed my C4 now too. (@2pods, I presume you’ve already got one by now.)
-
Darren hasn’t been able to fulfil orders unfortunately as he’s not been well. Panda are working on their own compact housing.
-
While the C4 filters are great, they don’t quite capture the resonance of an analogue filter (Artifakt does though). They also cap at 6kHz (Artifakt is full range).
-
Ah yes, forgot about that. On the big Qtron and microtron amp gain and envelope gain can be separated.
-
If sensitivity (gain) is lowered on the MuTron then it’ll be static but there’s no control over cutoff frequency aside from the high/low range switch. “Peak” is the resonance control so just boosts frequencies around the cutoff.
-
Try it with resonance all the way down as that will make the band as wide as possible. It’ll be quite subtle anyway.
-
Notch filter is a band-reject filter: it cuts frequencies around the cutoff. It’s the opposite of a bandpass filter which only passes frequencies in a band around the cutoff. A phaser is a notch filter. Phase 45 is a single notch. Phase 90 is two notches offset, which gives 4 distinct frequency regions, hence called a 4-stage phaser. So MuTron notch is an envelope-controlled 2-stage phaser in effect.

My ruthless cull continues… A fantastic 4-oscillator, dual-processor, stereo synth pedal that also does envelope-controlled filter, octaver, phaser, pitch shifter, harmoniser, sequencer. I bought this new as soon as it was launched and have kept it in pristine condition. As many of you may know, I spent a lot of lockdown writing many sounds for this pedal and sharing them via the Neuro platform, which ultimately got me noticed by Source Audio and got me involved in their pedal beta-testing and development. I’m doing pretty much all of my synth-based stuff on keys now so I’m quite unlikely to use this as heavily as I did four years ago so would like to move it on to someone who will use it rather than leave it sitting in a drawer. It’s chock full of my custom patches and loaded with the latest firmware. Comes with the UK power supply and TRS cable. Price includes mainland UK delivery via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

I can understand the reluctance to use editor software. However, it’s relatively straightforward and something you might only do once in a blue moon, by the sounds of it.

It cycles through all 99 presets. What exactly does that control on the DI do? Does it just cycle through the 9 stock (unmodified) presets? If so, you could easily replicate that on the FI by copying the 9 stock DI presets to a second bank. (I fleshed out an implementation to copy patches directly on the pedal and hope it might get added in a future V4 update.)
-
That feature is on the FI too! Press and turn the encoder to select any patch. (Clicking the encoder moves up through the banks.)

A lovely bass and a fine example of Jon’s craftsmanship, completed February 2023. A chance to pick one up without the insanely long wait times. (This took 14 months; some folks’ builds are up to 3 years now.) It’s in pristine condition, just a bit of “finger dust”. Now you’re probably asking yourself why I’m listing this. I have 3 P basses now and the other two are the same model as each other (one with flats, one with rounds) and 41.3mm nut width. I’m finding it easier to swap between those as the widths are the same. Also, despite my wanting a narrow-nut P bass again, I’ve finally come to appreciate and enjoy the slightly wider string spacing (only taken me 30 years)! The specs are as follows: 34" scale; 20 frets; 38.5mm nut width; 19mm string spacing; 21.5mm neck depth at 1st fret; 23.5mm at 12th; shallow C carve; Mastergrade quarter-sawn, roasted flame maple neck; rosewood fretboard; Rolled fingerboard edges; 9.5" radius board; 2-way truss rod; carbon fibre reinforcement; medium jumbo stainless steel fretwire; bone nut; 2mm cream side dots; 6mm cream face dots; satin finish on the neck; Schaller BM clover leaf tuners chrome; Hipshot triple string tree chrome; traditional P shape; alder; usual contours; reduced heel with recessed fixings (no plate); polyester basecoat; Olympic White; Tort/white/black/white 4-ply pick guard (traditional P shape); ABM 3704c19 bridge; Fralin (stock wound) pickup; volume / tone knobs (domed chrome, with small, discreet dot markers); Schaller strap locks; Shuker embossed Hiscox hardcase. Currently strung with Chromes 50-105 with super-low, buzz-free action. The in-joke decal is just a transfer and so can be easily removed according to Jon. Still has the cellophane on the pick guard. Collection from Sheffield. (For this sale, I’ll only deal with members who have a verifiable history/feedback record on here - no newly signed-up members, thanks.) I could potentially hand deliver to the Bath/Bristol area (only for a completed sale). The only bass trades I’d consider are these: Fender American Professional II Precision; Fender American Standard Precision (2012-2016 ones with the CS60 pickups). As for non-bass trades, I’d be interested in a Moog Voyager or Muse. Any related questions, please ask.
