1. Unfortunately, because of my need for a SLO Special neck, I'm unlikely to find one in UK stock so buying sight unseen is my only option.
2. Damn it! I have a wanted ad up for one of these.
3.
Yes. Mine is spot on. Thoroughly recommended. It also has an SLO neck. Picture here.... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/302682-stingray-purchasing-advice-required/
Looks lovely. I always wanted a Stingray but when I bought one I couldn't get on with the neck, which is why I ended up with the Sterling. Swore I'd buy a SLO Special as soon as I could afford one.
4. Hi guys, just wondering if any of you owns a current-production (USA) Stingray and could comment on the build quality. I'm considering ordering a Stingray with a SLO Special neck but it's a huge amount to shell out if it turns out to be rubbish. I have a 90s Sterling, which is absolutely wonderful, but the last Stingray I played (from about 2010) left me disappointed.
5. I bought a Fender American Standard Jazz from Seán at the weekend. We'd communicated about it a while back and arranged a mutually convenient weekend. Excellent communication all round and the bass was in great condition as described. He was very accommodating and offered me lifts to and from the station in his home town so that I was able to catch my train on time. Was nice to meet such a nice bloke and his family and hang out for a couple of hours too. Deal with confidence.
6.
Interested?
Yes, but don't have a car and imagine this would be a pain to try and take on the train. My housemate is getting a car at the weekend; wonder if I can persuade to do a road trip from Sheffield…
7. Not mine (I sold mine in here earlier in the year). I'm not associated with the seller, just think these are great basses and thought I'd give a heads-up to anyone looking for a PJ with a Jazz neck. Comes with an amp so might be worth asking if the seller will split. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332241395267
8. By the way, if you want to use the LS-2 to blend a clean signal with a processed signal you don't need run a patch cable from the send to the return for the dry signal; this happens automatically if nothing is connected and you're in A+B mix mode.
9. On the bay too now. Offers considered.
10. Hi guys, I don't really need three envelope filters so this one is on the block. It's incredibly versatile as it has two up sweep modes (one giving a more synth-like sound) and a down sweep. It also has a speed-regulated auto-Wah mode and a humaniser effect. All of these modes can also be used with an optional expression pedal for a wide range of sounds. It doesn't have the original box (I've never had it). It's in perfect working condition with no issues. Just a few scuffs from normal use. Price includes postage. I'd consider a trade for a cog T-16 (with cash your way) or another (preferably Mutron-style) filter as I'd like to check out some others for fun. https://www.boss.info/us/products/aw-3/
11. Also PMd about the T-16. I had a wanted ad up for one of these.
12. Where in North Yorkshire are you? (I'm in Sheffield.) I tried one of these when they came out but was a bit put off by the chunkier neck but I'm tempted to try again as perhaps its not being set up properly made it more uncomfortable that it should have been.
13. Separate clean and effect knobs would have been desirable. I've never played a Mu-Tron III so not sure if it's sonically identical.

15. I've just seen on YouTube that Mike Beigel has launched the Micro-Tron III, which is a small-pedal version of the original Mu-Tron III. He's added normal 9V power input, an expression pedal jack and a level control knob so there's no huge difference in levels when switching from bypass to effect. I'm lusting hugely.
16. Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, I think the input functions as a switch in battery mode but when a PSU is connected it is always on. I've been reading up on pedals a fair bit and just seen that Mike Beigel has launched a Micro-Tron III, which is a small pedal version of the original Mu-Tron III but with a level control knob! I have so much envelope filter gas right now!
17. I hadn't thought of going from send straight to return. That's a good idea! Thanks. I'll check out a clean blend pedal too, thanks for the suggestion. However, I'm sure there are other ways I could use the LS-2 too. I'm basically trying to achieve the function of the "dry" and "fx" knobs of the MXR M82 but using a Q-Tron instead.
18. Hi guys, I wonder if boss line selector users in here might be able to help. I was wondering if I could use the LC-2 in "A+B Mix" mode in conjunction with a Q-Tron to get a mix of the dry and wet signal. The original Q-Tron has a separate "direct out" socket. My idea would be: plug the bass into the input of the LS-2; plug "line A send" into the Q-Tron; plug the "effect out" of the Q-Tron into "line A return" of the LS-2; Plug the "direct out" of the Q-Tron into "line B return" of the LS-2. My question is, would that work because I wouldn't be sending any signal from the "line B send"? From what I can gather from the block diagram, it appears that the line volume is applied to the received return signal as opposed to the sent signal. Also, would I need to have a jack plugged into "line B send" in order for that line to be activated? Thanks
19. Will the Velcro come off without leaving marks or damaging the bottom? If so, I'd like to buy it (the pedal, not the Velcro). :-) It is the M82, right? PM sent.
20. 1.5" nut. I found it to be a slightly thicker C shape compared to my American standard.
21. I just completed the sale of my GK Microbass amp with Lloyd. It was a flawless transaction, he paid promptly and communicated clearly and quickly when organising both the payment and the courier collection. A pleasure to deal with.
22. I had one of these until quite recently (I sold it on here). These are great basses for the money.
