1. Beautiful. If this had a SLO special neck I'd have had in in a heartbeat.
2. Had I not bought one of these in natural last month I'd have been seriously interested in this. Beautiful.
3. How on earth has this not been sold yet?! Used to play one of these, cracking bass for the money.
4. Shame it's sunburst otherwise I may have been tempted.
5. If it's the Stingray's sound you like then I'd get that with a SLO neck, though the Sterling sounds pretty similar when the pickup selector is set to parallel. I've played a Sterling for the last few years and love it (I really wanted a 'Ray but the neck was too wide (I learned to play on a Jazz) and the SLO special hadn't been invented). The other difference is that the string spacing at the bridge of the Sterling is 1/16" narrower than on a 'Ray. Sadowsky string spacing is 19mm (3/4") which is the same as on a 'Ray. Not sure what it is on your Deluxe Jazz.
6. Try a Stingray with the SLO Special neck option (1.5" instead of 1.625") if you like the narrow neck of a Jazz, it's the best of both worlds.
7. I bought a fantastic Sadowsky HPJ from Duncan this week. The bass was exactly as he'd described it and the transaction was flawless. Moreover, he's a lovely guy and it was a pleasure to meet him and spend an afternoon talking music, trying out a few basses, meeting his family and having tea and flapjack. He also very kindly picked me up from the centre of Bath and dropped me right by my friends' house afterwards. A true asset to Basschat. Thanks, Duncan!
8. Not mine, but thought someone here might be interested in this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sadowsky-Metro-J-Bass-/150664802114?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2314526f42
9. Mmm, lovely. I don't normally like CAR but this looks great with the black guard. If I'd not just commited to buying a Sadowsky HPJ I'd have been after this, either buying it or trading my Sterling.
10. Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous but I'm guessing this bass is long gone as it's listed for sale at Fareastguitars and is more expensive: http://fareastguitars.co.uk/usedjb4.htm
11.
Shows how it's all down to personal opinion. I had a 2EQ StingRay and, much as I loved the sound and the feel of the neck, I just couldn't get on with the nut width. To date, it's the only bass I've ever sold. Still like the look of them, however!
Check out a Stingray with the SLO Special neck (1.5" nut width, same profile as a Sterling). I too couldn't get on with the Stingray nut width and the SLO is the perfect solution.
12. Just to let you know, the marketplace rules stipulate that you post a price.
13. I recently sold my Precision bass to James. Great to deal with and worked swiftly to help deal with the curveball our bank threw our way. I'd happily deal with him again. Thanks.
14. More photos.
15. Wish you were local so I could try this out. P bass pickup with Jazz neck is what I'd like. And just sold my P bass yesterday.
16. I thought they were flats. Flats on a Stingray sound so cool.
its strung with DR hi beams that are about 1 year old so they are really dead, just the way i like it
17. Sounds great, what's it strung with?
18. Not to tempt fate, but it seems I have a sale pending.
19. It may happen soon as I'm getting more interest from people of late.
20. What's the nut width on this?
21. Check out a Stingray with the SLO Special neck. It's basically a Sterling profile neck (1.5" nut) but standard Stingray headstock and body.
