1. I bought a fantastic Sadowsky HPJ from Duncan this week. The bass was exactly as he'd described it and the transaction was flawless. Moreover, he's a lovely guy and it was a pleasure to meet him and spend an afternoon talking music, trying out a few basses, meeting his family and having tea and flapjack. He also very kindly picked me up from the centre of Bath and dropped me right by my friends' house afterwards. A true asset to Basschat. Thanks, Duncan!
2. Not mine, but thought someone here might be interested in this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sadowsky-Metro-J-Bass-/150664802114?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2314526f42
3. Mmm, lovely. I don't normally like CAR but this looks great with the black guard. If I'd not just commited to buying a Sadowsky HPJ I'd have been after this, either buying it or trading my Sterling.
4. Forgive me if I'm being presumptuous but I'm guessing this bass is long gone as it's listed for sale at Fareastguitars and is more expensive: http://fareastguitars.co.uk/usedjb4.htm
5.
Shows how it's all down to personal opinion. I had a 2EQ StingRay and, much as I loved the sound and the feel of the neck, I just couldn't get on with the nut width. To date, it's the only bass I've ever sold. Still like the look of them, however!
Check out a Stingray with the SLO Special neck (1.5" nut width, same profile as a Sterling). I too couldn't get on with the Stingray nut width and the SLO is the perfect solution.
6. Just to let you know, the marketplace rules stipulate that you post a price.
7. I recently sold my Precision bass to James. Great to deal with and worked swiftly to help deal with the curveball our bank threw our way. I'd happily deal with him again. Thanks.
8. More photos.
9. Wish you were local so I could try this out. P bass pickup with Jazz neck is what I'd like. And just sold my P bass yesterday.
10. I thought they were flats. Flats on a Stingray sound so cool.
its strung with DR hi beams that are about 1 year old so they are really dead, just the way i like it
11. Sounds great, what's it strung with?
12. Not to tempt fate, but it seems I have a sale pending.
13. It may happen soon as I'm getting more interest from people of late.
14. What's the nut width on this?
15. Check out a Stingray with the SLO Special neck. It's basically a Sterling profile neck (1.5" nut) but standard Stingray headstock and body.
16. No worries. This is the music that finally made me realise I needed a P bass in my life. I almost bought a CIJ 51 P from Electro Music it was a real bargain, but was holding out for the one I have now.
17. If I throw in a free pint of my blood and the shirt off my back am I more likely to get a bite?
18. Check out Bill Withers records with Larry Dunlap (he plays the tele-style P bass):
19.
all black 3 EQ with maple neck
Sorry for the confusion, I actually meant the OP's bass, but because I forgot to state that and the fact that my post came right after yours it did seem like I was asking about the Stingray. Oops.
20. Maple or rosewood board? Presumably natural body?
21. There was a guy who put up an ad in the wanted section yesterday who was looking for a fretless jazz and a CIJ was on his list.
22. Sure this is a great bass. This is the combo I'd get if I were getting one. If someone were to buy my P I may well be interested. Free bump.
