  1. A bit pricier than what you may have in mind but a Morningstar MC3 or MC6 is what I’d recommend. These will unlock loads of potential in the FI and if you add any more MIDI pedals in the future, they’ll be able to control those too. They come up used reasonably often. Panda make their 4Control, which allows up to 2 double footswitches or two expression pedals (or one of each) to be connected.
  2. Something like Roland UM-One MK2. For the FI 4, any generic USB-to-MIDI cable should work (though I’ve not tried to see if my phone would handle such a cable yet). If using an iPhone then the Apple Camera Connection Kit adapter is also needed. In terms of apps, the free version of TouchOSC, Midi Designer Pro X or any of the other free MIDI controller apps which can send CC and PC messages will work.
  3. Must get me one of those. Also, how’s the Taylor Shift? Would love to try one; been looking at their SubZero v2.
  4. Do you want a footswitch option? I ask because your phone/tablet can do this with the correct connecting cable and a free app. Personally I’d recommend a controller that also has at least one expression input port so you can take advantage of the extra FI features. You can also use the FI editor to reorder your patches so you can group the ones you use right next to each other, that way you can use the built-in switch to navigate with minimal presses. Also worth reading through the main FI thread for ideas.
  5. Good find and a great price.
  6. Ah yes, it’s been Christmas and you got one as a gift. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it. I have mine set fairly close to flat: bass at 2 o’clock, mid at 11 o’clock set to 300 Hz and treble at noon, grit at 9 o’clock set to B15 mode. Using a P bass with labella 750FS. The Flex does sound a bit different (probably closer to the Broughton Fliptop) and I can’t decide which I prefer.
  7. Got an Ampeg SGT-DI and Shift Line Flex but would still love for this to become a reality.
  8. Could it be that the tube has just worked loose in transit a bit? Might be a simple case of having to screw it back in snugly. Hope you get a quick resolution.
  9. I’m thinking of this too. My solution may be to put my “core” pedals on the upper tier of my Aclam board and detach it when I just need those few.
  10. I’d potentially be up for it, depending on date. I’d be on public transport most likely, unless able to car share with one of the other Sheffield area folks on here.
  11. To get rid of it, you can manually choose the thumbnail from a url. It’s a bit fiddly as you need to navigate to your image, copy the location then edit out a bunch of extra info from the address before copying the link. Or ask an admin to fix it for you.
  12. Was so close to ordering one of these (also just to use into my interface) when they were £533 new during cyber week.
  13. Saw that they were working on a new prototype the other day. Sincerely hoping it might be this.
  14. Honestly really tempted but I already have two Pro IIs. Wouldn’t mind another two to cover all string/neck wood combinations but that’s probably getting a bit too obsessive.
  15. Would love to try one. The only thing giving me pause is the lack of ability to overdrive the tube from the onboard controls. If you were able to post some clips I (and I’m sure others) would greatly appreciate it.
  16. Great price for anyone looking to buy.
  17. Ah yes, I see that now. I’m curious about clips of the MuTron clone too.
  18. Damn, I’ve just bought a Flex, otherwise would likely have jumped on this.
  19. Presuming the controls have the same ranges and scaling, try these settings (subs on 3 (max)). This is what I used all the time with octave into filter for synth stuff.
  20. There is a pedal that does that, if I recall correctly. Think I saw it on Bass The World sometime in the last couple of years.
  21. Is that the 3-way sub switch too?
