  1. I’ve had two of these. This octaver is the one that sounded best with my Mastotron both alone and running into filters to get synth-like tones. And yes, this gets mighty close in sound to the Doom 2. I’ve got some side-by-side comparisons. I can tell them apart but the difference is subtle (Doom has a slightly stronger higher harmonic that pops out). Both are very dynamic.
  2. Oh and when Jon Shuker was setting it up with these strings, he measured: 37.5mm nut 22mm 1st 24.25mm 12th
  3. Nope. I specced this and ordered from Lakland. Pickup cover was sprayed with the same paint as the body at my request to make it look more like a regular P. I sold it to @Platypus. I note it was in The Gallery for a while too. I’ve got a clip of it with these strings on (presuming they are the ones I sold it with). Rhodes Herb type riff with Lakland bass.mp3
  4. Have you tried running both together, set to different settings? It sounds brilliant.
  5. Yes, just make sure to check the input level on each preset after you’ve clicked on it before plucking a note or you might deafen yourself. Input levels vary vastly depending on who programmed the sound. (I have been asking SA for a global override that sets every preset to whatever your desired level is but C4 code space is exhausted. Hopefully it’ll make it into an eventual next version of it.)
  6. Yes. I think it’s incompatible with the mode where you long press the footswitch to overwrite the preset settings. Set pedal to “default” mode and enable quick switching in the settings menu of the desktop app.
  7. Nope, enable quick-switching in the settings menu.
  8. You can long press the footswitch to change banks so you could put one sound in one bank, the other in the other bank at the same toggle position.
  9. I had the non + version and loved it. Sold it for cheap too, which I now regret of course.
  10. Always wanted to try one of these. I’m trying to have fewer pedals not more. (Failing too.)
  11. It may have been a leak. It’s NAMM this week so it may well become official then. it’s here: https://toy-love.hatenablog.com/entry/2024/01/15/000840 also looks like gear4music have a page but has been pulled:
  12. They announce stuff years before it’s anywhere near finished. The UB-Xa was announced about 6 years ago and only just came out a month or so ago.
  13. To be honest I’m glad they’ve beat Behringer to the punch on this.
  14. Bring it on! LPF and Phaser next please! @andybassdoyle
  15. How on earth is this still here? I don’t need a second one of these but it’s sorely tempting!
  16. There’s a manual up now, still in progress. https://mortrix.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MUM/overview?homepageId=33630
  17. For me, this is peak Star Wars (without any actual Star Wars imagery): https://www.udo-audio.com/products
  18. Thanks. MIDI control is not what these collaborations are about. One can always put it in a MIDI loop switcher. What I think folks might see as missing is the lack of footswitch capability for the “grit” and “scoop” controls. Had it installed for weeks but have barely had any time on it sadly as there’s some major life stuff going on at the moment which doesn’t look like letting up any time soon. 😞
  19. Yay! SA are sending me one of these soon with some other exciting new stuff! @thisisswanbon do you fancy amending your thread title to accurately reflect the name of the pedal so that it will be able to be found more easily using the search function?
