What’s not to like? Literally. There’s nothing there to dislike. Is it possible to dislike something that doesn’t exist? So is a “Steinberger headstock” actually an oxymoron?
Oh god, I don’t know how I’d not seen this until just now, and quite by accident. That’s terrible news.
I never met Nick in person but have chatted with him on threads and in private messages over the years. He’ll be missed.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Any Donny Benét fans in here, I reckon you’ll dig this album that just came out today by an artist with a similar vibe, both musically and with the tongue-in-cheek humour.
Another smooth transaction with Gavin, this time with him as the buyer. I listed a pedal and tagged him and within an hour he agreed to buy and paid. All easy with prompt and friendly communication. Many thanks.
In case this weren’t obvious, as this is a MIDI device, you can trigger it with anything that sends MIDI note data, so that even includes footpedal controllers such as the Morningstar stuff.
You still get the frequency sweeps but without big volume spikes at high resonance. It can be very useful for taming some of the wilder filters out there such as the Fwonkbeta, Enigma and MF-101.
I had one for quite some time. In fact I think I’ve owned two. I used the Nik West “born again compressor” and loved it when set to about 10-11 o’clock.
In outstanding condition. Owned by me from new and only played at home. The best tracking I’ve had from an analogue octaver, hands down. Very convincing OC-2 clone (in fact they used Janek Gwizdala’s personal OC-2 as a reference when creating this pedal).
