  1. Hadn’t thought of it like that but yes, it really is.
  2. I don’t mind waiting for an instrument as long as there’s some contact with updates now and then. What was frustrating was not hearing anything for over a year, then being told it’d be ready in a few weeks, then hearing nothing again for months, then being asked to finalise a few details (despite then already having all the info). Every time it felt like they were stalling for time rather than just being upfront. Was like that right up to the end, saying it’d be ready before the refund would be due (of course it wasn’t). There’s only so much a person can take. My Shuker build took about 14 months (8 months longer than the original stated time) but Jon sent me update pics when requested and I know I can always head down the road to see him in person if needs be. Totally different prospect when it’s a company on the other side of the globe and when there’s just no unprompted communication for many months or sometimes years.
  3. Haha, I actually ordered my Shuker two years after the MIDIbass and the Shuker was still finished before the MIDIbass. There’s also the ROR Expressive MIDIbass in Ireland. As said though, I think I’ll probably stick to keys now as I’ve put in lots of serious practice on them since ordering the bass.
  4. I’m just sad that it took so much effort and that I felt compelled to publicly disparage them before getting anywhere - I really dislike having had to do that.
  5. Got a refund! Unfortunately despite my request for them to cover the fees, I lost $75 in fees and about £100 more in exchange rate difference between when I paid and when I got my refund. I’ll take it though just to be done with it. Thankfully that ordeal is over. If all is really as described, some lucky dog can score a really nice midibass without having to wait 3.5 years. If anyone here goes for it, I’d be grateful if I could at least have a play on it. 😆
  6. I’ve already passed on a used one twice in the mistaken belief that mine was due to be finished. Think I’ll just stick to keys now anyway - I’ve had enough time to get good at them while enduring this whole saga.
  7. Indeed. I was so enthusiastic about this bass and what it can do after trying one. Now I just feel really angry and disappointed. I’d advise everyone to steer well clear.
  8. Thanks, I’m not too hopeful to be honest. It’s a huge chunk of money to lose too.
  9. I’m calling bullshít on this farce now. Obviously the deadline has been and gone with no word. I’m fully expecting some bóllocks excuse like someone’s died or some crap now, if anything at all. Nobody else should send any money to this company, it’s a joke and most likely now a scam. (Obviously willing to be proved wrong.)
  10. As new - only used to test once but have never needed this so up for grabs. http://pandamidi.com/midibeam Functions as both a wireless unit and as a USB-to-MIDI interface.
  11. As new; only opened to update to the latest firmware. I’ve never used this as my Collider covers all the reverb options I’m likely to use. Cardboard box has minor damage (see final picture).
  12. As new; only opened to update to the latest firmware and create a few presets. Includes UK power supply and the TRS hookup cable. (Latest firmware allows 2-way communication with mobile app over USB.) For sale as I have two but don’t need both now. UK postage included.
  13. Part of the reason I sold it was that I needed money for other stuff and I sold it for twice what I paid for it two years earlier and that was for about £100 less than others were asking for theirs. It definitely sounds lush but I was never going to use the dip switch stuff and I didn’t need all the LFO, tremolo and expression options. I also only used about two sounds on it, one 4-stage sound, one 6-stage sound. Can definitely get that with a cheaper analogue pedal and use my loop switcher to get MIDI on/off functionality.
  14. Ooh this is interesting for sure. Was considering the Phasor III/Baby Phase for these tones. I sold my Wombtone II a while back (which was based on the MuTron) as I wasn’t using the midi stuff but I miss the sound. I’ve got a Maestro Orbit on order which is an update of the original Tom Oberheim phaser.
  15. Sandberg do this configuration but it in only comes in one colour and an ebony board. The Martin Mendez model.
  16. Seems I’m doomed for this to keep happening too as I haven’t bought from there before and one can only add one’s address at the point of purchase. ☹️
  17. Put it in my basket. Was sold out by the time I’d filled my address out. Ffs!
  18. Is that an A-width nut on the Precision?
  19. This is pretty interesting: https://the-bace.com
  20. Frustrating given they were £160 once upon a time.
  21. I think the 14 days thing is just a smokescreen to give himself time to actually do the the work. A refund takes minutes to process. I’m just really fed up now. Also not confident of getting any kind of support should it later develop a problem. (In the 3.5 years I’ve been waiting, I’ve done so much keys practice that I don’t really need the bass now anyway, but that’s by the by.)
  22. I just want a refund as it’s not the first such email I’ve had saying it will be ready in 14 days and then six months of radio silence; I can no longer believe what I’m being told. I’ve been very patient but enough is enough.
