  1. Remember randomly hearing that on mtv back in the 90s, such a great groove.
  2. EDIT 23/02/2025 - I’m going to trade this in in the next two weeks if it doesn’t sell. Grab a bargain! This is an absolutely wonderful synth, I have just come to the realisation that I’m not going to use much of what it does. I’m content with the simplicity of my Moog for most of my monosynth needs. In pristine and fully working condition, only been used sparingly at home. Comes with all original packing materials and paraphernalia. I’m the original owner and can provide the receipt for the buyer. It’s the more expensive Special Edition with the flip-up panel and walnut end cheeks. This is collection only, I’m afraid. Will give you chance to verify it is in the condition described. EDIT - I have a second outer box so potentially could post if buyer organises courier, though collection still preferred.
  3. This thing stacks up incredibly favourably against the real thing. Check out the audio comparison I made. In excellent and fully working condition. Running the latest firmware. Postage to be added (£16.95). Collection from Sheffield welcome. I could bring it to the Bristol/Bath area on the train when I’m next down. (I would only do hand delivery for a completed sale as it’s a faff to bring it speculatively. Obviously the buyer would get chance to inspect thoroughly.) Trades considered for the following (with cash adjustment to or from me where applicable): Cog T-16/T-47 Boss OC-2 MXR VBO/BOD 3Leaf Octabvre Markbass Vintage Pre Moog bass 1.mp3 boog bass.mp3
  4. Original version rather than the newer Pro?
  5. Indeed, if I’d seen that sooner, I’d have likely cracked too.
  6. No, there’s no adjustment. The levels are either summed or averaged, I can’t remember which it is, I’d have to check. Levelling needs to be done in the pedals. Also, there are no phase options so you’ll need to be aware of that. Despite that, it’s a brilliant device.
  7. That’s where the MC6 Pro comes in. Six buttons per page; each button can have multiple actions so could host access to different presets. 4 pages of buttons per bank. Remember, it is also possible to assign PC up/down to controller buttons to have access to all presets. I have up/down programmed to two buttons and a double-press of the same two buttons to jump in tens.
  8. The ML10X has a ridiculous number of presets available: 128 x 4 x 8.
  9. Aclam do a hard case for their line of boards.
  10. Well, @GisserD has started making his small housings again…
  11. No, it wasn’t mine. I still have my original one. I think I did hook Mart up with the seller though. Glad to hear you like the presets. Those work best when used with the global note-on setting set to 1 as they’ll trigger at lower dynamic levels. What did you alter?
  12. Be that as it may, I quote:
  13. Isn’t that what you said about the Strymon Deco too?😆
  14. I’d love to grab this to try but I would like to shift my Maestro phaser first.
  15. Having had another look, it’s the LFO depth that has a shared slider for its destinations. Also shared sliders for the levels/parts and the 3 envelopes. I’m just not a big fan of that approach; I much prefer a strict knob/slider per function layout wherever possible. (There are ways around this like on the Melbourne Instruments Nina (motorised knobs) or Nord Lead 3 (encoder ring LEDs).) I do have a synth that has shared slider functionality and it’s always a bit of a pain when switching between layers and functions as it’s so easy to mess something up.
  16. When loading in a particular model, it was far from obvious how to navigate to presets that utilise only that model for instance as the preset buttons recall from all models. There are quite a few modal functions on buttons, which does detract from the immediacy of one button serving a single function. If I recall correctly, there was some aspect of PWM that wasn’t quite at the top level too. It’s a while since I last was in front of it so would have to check. I found it a bit of an option paralysis machine.
  17. I never gelled with this one when testing but there’s a sound pack just been released by Blue River (one of the Groove Synthesis guys) which sounds absolutely phenomenal.
  18. The Juno 106 is wonderful. I’ve had one on loan for the last six months and am totally smitten. I did try out the Juno X in store a couple of times and, while it is incredibly powerful, I feel it lacks the Juno’s superpower which absolute simplicity, immediacy and WYSIWYG controls. Don’t get me wrong, I love programming but I seem to get much more musical mileage out of synths that are simple and quick to dial up a good sound on.
  19. It gets worse, trust me. 😆
  20. Just came across this after listening to a guy doing a synth bass cover of one of the tracks:
  21. That was a direct result of my comment on his Facebook page the other day. So glad he took it on board. I can’t have been the only one who missed out due to never having ordered from him before.
  22. Chorus/flanger is pretty solid, though mono only. I made some reasonable phaser patches using the EQ effect to create two notch filters. Octave is pretty good.
