  1. Latest. Sorry autocorrect failure.
  2. Have you updated the C4 firmware to the layaway version? Absolutely essential.
  3. Anyone into synth owes it to theirself to try one of these.
  4. Indeed; I’ve had a few occasions in my life where I’ve had to let a treasured instrument go in order to pay bills. It sucks.
  5. You can always offer, though they do tend to price after doing realistic research. Always worth a shot.
  6. By the sticky white residue they had to clean off, perhaps?😆
  7. Shops need to make money. I’ve never found it particularly overpriced. Been shopping there for years and picked up some lovely stuff. All really good people working there so happy to pay a bit more to help keep them open. Their used prices are pretty spot on; the values they’ve quoted that they’d sell for when I’ve inquired about selling stuff to them have been mostly borne out by what I’ve sold them for privately.
  8. That’s a shame. He’s a great bloke and it’s nice to see the person who made your instrument and the environment it was made in. It’s a very pretty part of the world too.
  9. Convenient for you to pick up when you collect your Shuker too. 🙂
  10. One of the knobless ones has just come up used in my local shop. https://richtonemusic.co.uk/musicman-joe-dart-jr-signature-shortscale-bass-w-mono-gigbag-2nd-hand/
  11. Just came across this: https://www.pedalplayground.com
  12. It is. The ultra has a badass-style bridge, a shiny logo and got rid of the spoke-wheel truss adjustment with the cutaway in the fingerboard, among other changes.
  13. I’ve raised an RMA for this so am returning it. For anyone interested, it’ll be back in stock at Juno in a few days should you wish to buy it from there (this was the last one they had in stock).
  14. Tough question. Probably this, though the Qballs allows you to get the slower attack of the envelope pretty close. In terms of the decay speed, I think the Qtron is closer too. If I didn’t have the Microtron, I’d be pretty happy with the Qtron.
  15. This is the new model. It’s boxed and brand new. It’s very nice indeed, just don’t think it’s going to knock my MuTron off the board so I think I shouldn’t keep it. I am still within the return window on this but thought there might be someone on here who might like to skip the wait. I’ll give it a couple of days, if no one bites, I’ll just return it. Price includes signed-for UK postage. I posted a clip here:
  16. Cool either way. Been meaning to have a trip to gear4music at some point.
  17. @ped, would be good to pit my Microtron against your III sometime.
  18. Mine too. Though I do love the BEF too. Big discovery after I recorded this is to play the BEF with my bass’s tone rolled off, sounds wicked. The Microtron’s envelope follower is lovely and smooth, no warble, a gooey long decay but quick retriggering.
  19. Excellent envelope filter that was a staple for me for a very long time. Incredibly versatile and I used it for both straight-up envelope filter sounds and synth sounds. However, I’m now finding I don’t use this at all as I have synth stuff covered with a couple of digital pedals and envelope stuff using a couple of simpler filters. Basically I’m trying to pare down my setup to what I use most. In great condition. No original box but will be securely packed. Price includes signed-for UK postage.
  20. MXR BEF, Q-Tron Nano, Mu-Tron Microtron IV. Sorry for sloppiness, my hands were freezing. bef nano micro.mp3
  21. It’s similar but a faster attack.
