The bodies were Warmoth parts (though not now standardly). The necks they had custom made so no, they don’t de-fret and dismantle.

P basses for me. Probably never tried one properly when I first started learning as the Jazz nut was more comfortable in my hands. Took about 20 years before I realised that the sound I loved was something I was getting close to by soloing the front pickup. Still took another few years before I actually made the final connection and bought one. Been on a quest to find ones that have a narrower nut and bought and sold a few of these, finally going down the route of custom ordering a Shuker P (and is near completion), but my current and only bass is now a USA Fender P.

It’s split fret scanning with piezo note-on detection in the bridge saddles, exactly like the IR. Yeah, the headstock is horrid, more so as it’s being used on a traditional style instrument.

Sadly, with the amount of time that has now elapsed it’s costing me more each day as I’ve watched the pound’s value plummet. And as regards wait times, they are epic (in the original meaning) and I’m never sure if I’ll ever receive it. Finally got an email reply today after 15 months of abject silence. Apparently my “bass will be ready in 4 weeks”. That would be wonderful if true but I’m certainly not holding my breath. It’s very difficult not to suspect foul play with the way things have been handled.

I use Labella normal (long scale) through body versions strung through the body. Plenty of winds left to get 3 full winds on the A peg even after clipping. These are the standard 760-FS-TB not the low-tension set.

The Future Impact, with the C4 a close second. Managed to get the latter to function as a drum machine to when mucking about with its sequencers and creative routing.

Labella do through-body sets of flats (suffix “TB”). Or just top load the normal sets.

I don’t mind the waiting per se; it’s the lack of communication which I find unacceptable.

On the OC-2 it was achieved by desoldering the connection to the -2 octave signal. I suspect it may have been done on the Cog by using a lower value resistor.

I think that is true. I then sold it to @CameronJ. Starting to sound like this:

These new ones will be based on the v2 which solved the low output volume “problem” on the octave signal (an inherent flaw of the OC-2).

Dare I say it, I’m not actually gassing for any new pedals at all (though as @admiralchewsays, the Barbanera does sound great and I wouldn’t mind one). Synths, that’s a different matter altogether… I guess I just supersized my GAS.

I’m thrilled for you. My very first octave was a v1 T-16. Can’t wait to get a small T-47.

OK, I’ve now also worked out what’s going on the headstock of my future Shuker J bass: I suppose this will definitely also have to be a creamy white bass then. Don’t ask if I’m hand-mixing the colour.😆

Jon loved the idea! I’ve improved it and got it as close as I can with as similar a font as I could find to photos of the headstock I found online.

You should’ve seen how many different blues I went through!
