Nice fattening preamp. Works really well in front of their Lunar/Gemini/Mercury to add some fullness/richness.
Unlike all other Source Audio pedals, this one is fully analogue.
As new as I only used it briefly for beta-testing purposes.
Works great on bass and guitar.
Price does not include postage.
I’ve done a few. Better envelope filter sounds were possible to set up on the v3 patches due to the presence of the mod matrix. All the old Talkbass patches are pre-v3.
Here’s one (with a clip). https://auraplug.com/fidatabase2/downloads/micro-tron-iv/
What I forgot to mention about this is that is also has an expression pedal I put so you can manually sweep the filter exactly to your liking too. The only drawback is that there is no switch to engage/disable this function like there is on stuff like the Chromatron, so once you plug in an expression pedal, it overrides the envelope control. Someone cleverer than me could probably make a simple modification to overcome this.
But also, for synth, the Future Impact is highly recommended (and its editor interface makes more sense from a synthesis point of view). Both pedals cover different duties so it’s not redundant to have both.
No shimmer on C4.
It’s not the best interface for learning synthesis. For that, I’d suggest checking here first to familiarise yourself with the concepts:

After that, the interface will make more sense.
It’s certainly a great pedal for octave, filter, fuzz, phaser and synth in one.
