  1. Excellent. I hope you give it a fair shot with the editor this time - should be much easier than last time. By the way, Rich Tone have a used UM-One MKII in stock. I think when I asked, it was right when we were still in the middle of v3.5 development so it might’ve got missed. If there is a new iteration then I’d hope to be kept in the loop and involved with it.
  2. I think you’re reading rather a lot into that. Not to pïss on your bonfire, but remember how long it took for the v3 and v3.5 updates to happen. Any wholesale reimagining would likely take a big chunk of time. I guess there’s perhaps a possibility of putting bigger chips in and using the same core code and hardware which might mean that the product remains unchanged but just has more power and code space for future features. I did ask about this possibility but never got a response. I see your ruse though: create excitement about and upgrade that isn’t even in the works, thereby artificially drive the price of v3 units down so you can buy one at a lower price. Nice try. 😆 If you want to support the growth and development of the company, the best way to do that is to buy what they have so they gain funds to power future products and to pay for the expertise of their workers. Did you also mention the attractiveness of a smaller housing?
  3. There is no v2; it was also a firmware upgrade. Basically there is FI I and FI v3.
  4. At the risk of repeating myself, there is no v4 planned, so you may be waiting forever. Correct. As detailed in the initial v3 post and in all the documentation. Given that, I wouldn’t expect a massive difference in price between a used v1 and v3. I’d base my pricing on their respective conditions. People will pay what they feel. I haven’t seen one go for under £185, I think. I paid nearly £300 for my used v1 but that was before v3 and the new lower pricing. I’m not bitter as I’ve had plenty of joy and work out of it.
  5. I have one and like it. It uses more space than Velcro as the fasteners take up room but I don’t like Velcro on pedals so was willing to compromise. Have still been toying with getting a bigger custom size Aclam board but want to wait until I have a better idea of what pedals I’ll definitely keep.
  6. @dub_junkie, didn't you say you were looking for one?
  7. Ok, it seems my screen had defaulted to the “topics” button. Panic over.
  8. OK, what’s going on? There’s now now sub forums in the main view unless one applies filters. Basically, unless filtering is applied, all posts (from all sub forums) are shown in sequential date/time order, which is just a visual onslaught.
  9. Now surplus to requirements after selling my jazz bass. In excellent condition, looks and smells good, with just a few scuffs as shown in the pictures with coins for scale. Collection from Sheffield as I’m now out of postage boxes.
  10. Keir has just been round to collect the Lakland Skyline 44-60 I sold him. A really smooth transaction. He paid a deposit after agreeing to buy the bass then paid another chunk a week or so later and then the remaining balance today when he was able to collect it. All communication was excellent and friendly and he arrived when he said he would. To boot, he is a really lovely guy and it was nice to sit and chat about basses with a fellow enthusiast. I’d have absolutely no hesitation in dealing with Keir again and would happily recommend him to others. Many thanks, Keir, I hope you’ll love the bass as much as I have.
  11. Thanks, James. Hope you’re well. Thanks. It’s lovely and sounds wonderful. I’m just cursing my small hands. I need to get a SLO Special or a Sterling.
  12. Beautiful Stingray from 1993, Flea bridge (with new mute pads), 2EQ, rosewood board, lovely birdseye figuring in the neck, fantastic Honeyburst finish. Weighs 4.2kg and balances nicely. It has a few marks from use, all of which were there when I bought it. There are a few pings in the lacquer, two have gone through to the wood. Nothing that affects playability. I had Jon Shuker set it up when I got it last year. It’s strung with GHS Precision flats 45-105. Comes with a new Musicman hard case, which I bought after I got the bass. Collection from Sheffield preferred. However there is potential for me to deliver/meet up between Sheffield and Bath (on the M42, M5, M4 corridor). Could potentially also bring down to London or up to Newcastle way and combine with a visit to friends. Price is absolutely firm. EDIT 18/10/21: If it’ll help sell, I’ll separate the case from the bass. So… EITHER £1100 with case as above OR £1000 with a very nice gig bag instead of the hard case.
  13. No worries. Another way around it is, if you have both oscillators in the same octave and slightly detuned, then set the volume of one of them lower than the other as this will keep the nice thickness from the detuning without causing complete cancellation when the waves are 180° out of phase.
  14. I enjoyed the synced tones most and wish he’d demonstrated the timbre and sweep knobs that are active in that mode.
  15. Nope, fluent. It’s my first second language. (I’ve got a thing for Germanic languages so learned Dutch, Swedish and Danish too).
