Some information I've found so far, BTW is called "asymmetrical waveforms": "DI's Bass guitars can produce asymmetrical waveforms because -while the string itself may vibrate symmetrically- the pickup will likely have a tendency to see the 'nearer' pole of the wave strongly than the 'further' pole, as a result of diminishing magnetic field strength with distance. -Pickups closer to the strings would be expected to exhibit this characteristic rather more than pickups mounted lower (and thus further away from) the strings." Hi, I'm just starting to record my bass lines in my laptop and I've seen a certain tendecy in my recordings, the wave form is more accute when going down than up. I'm just wondering if this is expected for a bass guitar wave form because when looking at the guitar recording looks to me as more balanced. It might be that my audio interface is not working properly or just that I'm looking for an excuse for my bad playing :-) I've included a image of the wave form. BTW I'm using Cubase Essential 5 with a M-Audio MobilePre USB audio interface, this is on Windows 7 64. Thanks! Johann [attachment=74948:BassWave.jpg]

Just a short note to give a positive feedback to Martin (martfitz). Very good communication and to note that he came a long way to collect the bass right on time and with the cash as expected. Thanks Martin for a great transaction and hope you enjoy the Sandberg! Johann

Back for sale my Walkabout Head and the Scout Radiator 12” 4ohm cabinet, both very much as new. Comes with the original mesa boogie cover and gig bag. It doesn't include the cable speaker because I'm using both for the Aguilar cabs. Local collection prefered, but I might be able to convince my wife to take it somewhere not far from Birmingham. The price for the head is £550 and for the cabinet £450, so both for £1,000. May consider other offers but in the meantime that's the money that I need to buy my Aguilar head otherwise I can't sell the Head.
