1. Hey folks, The time has come for me to sell a good portion of my 17 strong collection of basses. We're looking at moving house towards the end of the year and we're going to need the cash. So, with much regret, the first one I'm offering up for sale is my 2013 (I think) Shuker modern active jazz, built to my specs which are as follows: Body: book matched flamed/quilted mahogany over a mahogany compact jazz body. neck: 5 piece maple and wenge with lay-back headstock which sports a figured mahogany laminate on the top. Fret board is a beautifully aged Tulipwood (very dense and sounds like ebony) with abalone markers. Measures 40mm at the nut (which is brass). Electronics: S D sjb3 jazz pickups into a STC 3p 3 band preamp. Bridge: Schaller 2000 Tuners: Gotoh. It plays brilliantly and sounds kind of like a Marcus Miller, but more compressed and even IMHO. It weighs in at about 9-9.5lbs, in as new condition and comes with a decent gigbag. Price: £900. no offers or trades, please. I prefer collection or meet up somewhere within about 60 miles of Sheffield but will post to the UK for cost.
2. Nice. Any idea when this was buit?
3. Bargain and a half, this. If I had the room I'd have it now. Is it a factory gloss coat, BTW? Looks good.
4. I have a 55-60 with Barts and an East and it sounds fantastic.
5. I've just bought a Dean Jeff Berlin off Mike. It's a damn fine bass, very well set up and in very good nick. Tea and bounty bars were also provided which I very much appreciated. Great guy to deal with.
6. Looks like fun. I'll take it if it's still around..... pm'd
7. ...........I want a yamaha bb2024,...........or a jaydee supernatural. I'm not well.
8. Hey folks, I'm putting this one up for sale to make some space. I'm coming to the conclusion that, maybe, 16 basses might be too many :-) I probably don't need to rattle on too much, save to say it's in great shape, is hilarious to slap and weighs around 7.5lbs. The truss rod works as it should, the action is low and it has an upgraded just-a-nut 3. It comes in a decent gigbag with a folder full of bits (truss rod adjuster, certificate of authenticity etc). 9. Great piece of kit. I love mine. I actually prefer it to my old Euro LX 5, the Rebop having a similar character but sounding a little warmer to my ears. G'luck with the sale.
10. If that's a new neck, this is a bargain. The neck on my 2016 corvette masterbuilt is bloody lovely, with a slim C profile. Nicer than my '06 thumb.
