Hi all, I'm selling this very special bass that I ordered directly from Bill Nash in 2017. It's a fantastic Precision, and Bill himself described it as "nice and light and super resonant." However, I'm playing more guitar these days so it's time to let it go. It's in excellent condition and has barely been played over the past 7 years. It was bought for a band that disbanded maybe a month or two after the bass arrived and my Epi Jack Casady is my go to for the small amount of bass playing I do these days. Here are the specs from Bill Nash: Model: PB57 Body: Ash, Dakota Red (lightest and most resonant body selected) Neck: Maple C Neck Pickup: Lollar Pickup Weight: 3.69 kg (8.1 lbs) Nut width: 41.04 mm String width: 33.65 mm Finish: Nitro Aging: Lightest aging they do Pickguard: Gold Guard Radius: 10" https://imgur.com/gallery/nash-pb57-sale-522YPJh Looking for £1600 collected or will ship and include a Fender Deluxe Moulded Bass case (also barely used) for £1775 Cheers!

Nope. While I was grateful for quick delivery once I managed to get hold of them via the phone, it’s shame to find they weren’t more interested in the problem with their speaker
-
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the broken speaker was distorting even when it was out of the cab, whereas the working one was fine. I managed to get a replacement speaker from Barefaced last week, so all is well now!

Did the speakers in the Two10s change somehow? I notice they now handle 500 watts instead of 400

The full range speaker has the fault And yes it says, 4 ohm cab & 400 watts

I have a number of gigs coming up and would like to get this fixed very soon and not wait until he is back at work. im also very interested to hear how a 135 destroyed a speaker with all the claims of very few speakers blowing

Hi all, I’ve run into an issue with my Two10 and I’m looking for some advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. I’ve owned the cab for 7 years and use it maybe 30 times a year, mostly with a clean sound using my Bassman 135. The 135 is generally turned up to around 5 for the gigs I play. It’s never a gnarly, aggressive sound, and I never use fuzz pedals etc. One of the speakers in my cab has started distorting, almost as if there’s an overdrive pedal in the signal path. At first, I thought it might be a wiring issue, but after extensive troubleshooting (including swapping basses, leads, the wiring and isolating the speakers) I’ve confirmed that the problem lies with one specific speaker. I took the cab to a tech who tested the speaker. It measured 4 ohms instead of 8 ohms but still moved properly when a signal was applied, and didn’t exhibit any obvious voice coil rub. However, while tapping on the cone, he noticed a sound as if something inside the speaker was loose. He suspects it’s an internal issue. I’ve reached out to Alex and had a couple of responses asking me to describe the distortion and where in the speaker it’s coming from. I know the Two10 uses custom-designed Eminence drivers, so a direct replacement might be tricky to source. I’d love to hear from anyone who has had to replace a driver in a Barefaced cab or anyone with advice on the closest replacement speaker that could work without compromising the cab’s performance.

Hi everyone, I’m in the market for a lightweight bass head to pair with my Barefaced Two10. My main amp is a Bassman 135, which I absolutely love for its chunky low-end and classic old-school treble plunk. However, it’s a bit heavy, fragile, and overkill for the Tuesday night rehearsals and wedding gigs. I’m looking for a lightweight head that delivers vintage 60s/70s bass tones. I don’t slap or do anything remote 80s. I use pick and fingers, and I’m a big fan of characterful clean bass sounds whether it be John McVie and Geezer Butler. I have a Epiphone Jack Casady with lovely old flat wounds and occasionally use a P bass. I’ve been considering the Fender Rumble 800 Head, but it’s a bit on the pricey side for something I want to be purely utilitarian and practical. Does anyone have recommendations for bass heads that nail those vintage vibes without being too hi-fi? There are so many options out there and I’m trying to narrow it down. Thanks in advance for your help

Orange AD15 This beauty is in great condition and is in full working order. I had it serviced about two years, right before the first lockdown. It has been barely used since then. I upgraded the speaker to a 10” Celestion Gold and it comes with Roqsolid Cover (with orange piping of course). The Celestion is nicely broken in and sounds fantastic.

An awesome acoustic. Everything you’d expect from an early 80’s Japanese guitar. Recent pro set with a fret dress and new coated Martin strings. Plays really well, resonantly and lively. Great condition with lots of life left in the frets. Electrics all work with its passive piezo pickup. Collection from Bristol, no trades please

Hi I am looking to replace my back up amp (a Peavey T Max) with something a little more compact. Any Suggestions? I like a vintage tone, my main head is a Bassman 135 which I run into a Barefaced Two10 or a JBL K140 loaded 2x15. I use a Jack Casady with flat wounds or a Nash P bass with rounds for something a little more aggressive. No slapping or soloing going on, just a deep bottom end with a nice presence/treble so it's not all mud a la Carole Kaye. Cheers Tom

Made in Japan in the 60's/70's. In full working order, it has had a recent set up and sounds great. It is well balance in sound, doesn’t lose its power on certain strings or frets. A fantastic studio bass, it fits really well in a mix Some age related dings and scratches on the body, the neck is fine with no damage. All original. No trades please. Collection from Bristol

Hello I bought this jazz a couple of years ago. Since then I have played bass less and less and a new Strat is required. It's from 1984. The condition is 8/10 with a few play wear and dings to the finish here and there. It is is completely original apart from a refret. It was refretted using medium jumbo Dunlop 6105 by Johnny Kinkade here in Bristol. He is a fantastic luthier, there are videos of him chatting with Dan and Mick from That Pedal Show which demonstrates his knowledge and skill for building and repairing guitars. Currently strung with some rounds, it is a resonant and lively bass. The neck in particular is great it is a great medium C which feels very comfortable. Collection from Bristol preferred. I can also post, but it will be at the buyers expense. No trades please.

I bought this JV right before the first lockdown. Since then I have played bass less and less and a new Strat is required. This 1982 precision bass is super rare and completely original. Condition about a solid 9/10. Fully setup though, clean and tidy frets which have plenty of life left in them. Currently strung with flat wounds. The bass is in stunning two colour Sunburst on a very nicely figured Ash body. It has a maple neck and fingerboard, reverse tuners and a single ply scratch plate. Apart from the collectability the bass is a great instrument. It has a lovely low action and does the Jamerson really well and more. I have not tried it with round wounds on but I assume it will be great with them fitted too since it has a great sustain and resonance. Collection from Bristol, no trades please.
