1. Hi guys Further to my previous sales, I have to let this beast go, in order to fund my VW Bus project. This amp has been my in backup rig for a while now, and has never let me down. It has stayed at my home for 95% of the time, only being used for personal practise - both at low, and high volumes. Mesa Boogie Bass 400+s have always recieved good press, and are always hailed as one of the iconic bass heads across the board. They are now discontinued, and are quite rare to find in the used gear marketplace. The amp which I'm selling was hand-built in Petaluma, California, and the serial number reads B3298 - the amp is currently setup with Handtested Mesa Boogie 5881 6L6 Vaccuum tubes in the poweramp section (12 thereof!!) and Four 12AX7 tubes in the preamp section. It is also housed in an original Mesa Boogie Diesel wood/tolex 4U flightcase for protection. Contrary to some belief, the tubes in these amps last for years... and I'm assured that the ones currently installed in this amp have a lot of life left in them. The amp produces 600w of power, and produces this 600w with any combination of speakers - from a single 8ohm cab, through to a pair of 4ohm cabs. There's also a 'Slave out' incase you need any more power (but trust me... unless you're playing Wembley, you'll be okay - This thing really rattles the windows!) On the front panel, features include a nice shiney blue 'power' LED, a Power switch, Standby switch, fx send & return, rotary dials for Middle, Bass, Treble and Master Volume, and also two inupts (essentially there's one for passive basses and one for active basses) each of which has it's own Volume control (I believe these are similar to more modern amp's 'gain' dials...) Also, a number of the EQ and Volume dials pull-out to produce punchier tone, and for tonal shifts... Aswell as all of the above mentioned EQ features, there's also a Graphic EQ section which can be activated by a front-panel mounted switch, or via a seperate footswitch. On the back we have a balanced XLR out, the speaker outputs, Slave out, fx send & return, and a switch for the cooling fans - Low, Off and High. Anyway - here are a couple of pics of the amp... feel free to PM me, or leave a post if you need any specific pictures, or have any questions about the amp, and I'll do my best to answer. Firstly, the front panel ...And the back panel Finally... a price... Well, I've consulted a few people on the forums, and have had a number of figures suggested. Considering the amp's good condition, and the fact that they're now discontinued, and getting quite scarce.... I'm going to ask for £850 for the amp... Couriered delivery is not out-of-question, but please bare in mind that this amp weighs A LOT... I may be able to deliver the amp myself for petrol cost, though, or I'll gladly come and meet you somewhere. Again - feel free to PM me if you need any more specific info, or need any more pictures of the amp Many thanks Rich

15. Hi folks, Being that time of year, I've set myself a New Year's Resolution to spend the Summer months travelling round Europe... and to do it in style, so I'm going to buy myself an old VW Bus, have it restored, and drive my way through Europe... with all the cost involved in buying the bus, restoring it, getting all the valid paperwork to travel through the various regions etc... I'm going to have to make a few sacrifices... so I'm putting a few basses up for sale... USA Fender 1975 Re-issue Jazz bass... in Natural finish, with a (gorgeous feeling!) Maple neck and fingerboard, a 3-ply black, white, black scratchlpate... all original parts, in very good condition. It is a fantastic bass, I've only ever heard fantastic reviews about them... it plays beautifully, with no issues... a beautiful low action with no fretbuzz, nice straight neck.. really well looked-after... I've had a good polish and look-over the bass this weekend, and there really isn't a mark on it... it's 'as new.' Serial number reads Z4145648 The bass comes with the original Fender moulded hardcase & original Fender strap. Having seen similar basses on the forum, and eBay... I'm asking £850 for the bass - this includes delivery - I'll deliver the bass personally, myself. An identical bass is currently on eBay for £975 delivered, so grab a beautiful bass at a bargain price! Next up my USA Fender 1977/78 Precision... At some point, the finish has been stripped from this bass, I received it from another bassworld member (though I can't remember who now! Hopefully he's moved to basschat and remembers!) in a part-ex. I've had it thoroughly checked-out by a local luthier, and he assures me it's all original apart from the knobs (and strings.) It has a beautiful, addictive slap tone, and is really hard to put down once you start playing! The bass comes as seen - I'm afraid there's no original case, however, I can include a softcase with the bass... there is the original sales items from fender - tools, polishing cloth and leaflets. The serial number reads S871558 Next is my Conklin GT7 Fretless... Previously owned by forum member Russ ('binkybass') The de-fret job was performed by a professional luthier, and over-seen by Russ. All-original Conklin hardware, including an awesomely versatile EQ. Translucent Red finish (the grain doesn't show-up in the pics, it's a lot clearer in-person!) The bass is in great condition - again, there's not a mark on it, no bucklerash, nice clean neck and fretboard... lovely straight neck, no playing issues whatsoever... bass comes as seen - I will throw-in a softcase for the sale... I'm going to ask £600 Delivered for this bass... Finally, my Tobias Deluxe 5... an extremely versatile 5-string bass. A very powerful EQ from Tobias, which has done me proud from Slap-funk gigs, soul sessions, through to Low-end heavy Dub, and Drum'N'Bass gigs... the tone was flawless throughout... Beautiful Rosewood fretboard, Tobias signature headstock, and translucent red finish. The bass is in very good condition - a couple of marks on the body, but nothing too noticeable - just regular wear on a bass which has been used regularly live for the past 3 years by myself... just run-of-the-mill wear, on a bass which has been treated well, kept in a hardcase throughout it's travels. I'm asking £300 delivered for the bass - as it is, with a softcase if needed. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ _____________ I'm open to offers on all of the basses. I will also entertain trade offers... possibly six string fretted basses, four string fretless, EUBs, 2x12 cabs, and possibly Ampeg cabs... basically, if you have anything you'd like to offer, let me know. Rich
16. Also PM'd (Regarding the Jet Phase) Rich
17. Okay folks, Part III of my new year's sales - getting rid of a few of the effects that I rarely use. Firstly, the popular Aphex Punch Factory - an optical compressor built into a pedal casing. Very versatile, with adjustable Drive and Volume Output. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Great reviews all-round. The pedal is in 'As good as new' condition, and includes all manuals Yours for £55 posted Recorded Delivery Dod FX91 Bass Overdrive - a nice overdrive by Dod, which ranges a wide spectrum, from mild, dritty overdrive and distorted tones, through to all-out fuzz mayhem! A very modern sound overall, with adjustable Volume Output, Tone, Drive level, and 'Blend' - a very useful dial which allows you to choose how much distorted tone comes through, and how much clean... The pedal is in 'As good as new' condition, and includes all manuals, and original sale box I'm completely open to any offers on this pedal. However, shipping will be £5 including Recorded Delivery and all packing costs. Morley Classic Wah a simple-to-use, great sounding wah pedal from Morley (so you know it's built like a tank!) This pedal comes as you see it... I'm afraid I've misplaced the manuals, but if I find them, I'll have them sent to you (be it before the sale, or after) The pedal is in good condition - a couple of marks (In the pic, it's covered in dust! After a wipe, it'll look good as new) Again on this one, I'm completely open to offers, and again, postage will be £5 Recorded Delivery Any questions and offers, feel free to PM me, or leave a post! Thanks for your time, Rich
18. Bump - Any more offers/interest? Rich
19. Thanks for the replies guys, BossaJazz - I'm based in Lincoln, but will travel to meet you, or bring the bass to you Muppet - It certainly is that same bass! And thanks for the kind words! Rich
20. Bump - Identical bass on eBay at the moment for £975!! Grab yourself a beautiful bass, at a bargain price!! Rich
21. Hi folks, I'm making a few sacrafices in order to fund an automotive project... so, up for sale is one of my rigs... which consists of... Eden WT400 - Bought new from Electromusic less than a year ago, still with the original box, rack ears and all manuals... there's only one small mark on the front panel. Beautiful Eden tone, extremely versatile and easy to use... loads of features, never been cranked, always looked after and flightcased. Accugroove Tri10 - Compact, modern cabinet, with a 10" woofer, a 6" mid woofer, and two soft textile dome tweeters, giving great clarity, an awesome cab for small, quiet gigs, or rehearsals... nice lightweight, compact cab... in very good condition (I can't find a mark on it.) Accugroove Tri12 - Again - similar to the Tri10, housing a 12" bass woofer, 6" Mid, and again two soft tweeters... a cabinet who's user-list speaks for itself... again it's light, compact and extremely well built... and again, it's in very good condition, never abused, never cranked... this cabinet also features adjustable Bass woofer and tweeter volume, in order to adjust and refine the cabinet's tone. The rig as a whole has served me extremely well, it's seen me play in all sorts of situations, from rock covers, to acoustic folk work, through to Dub Reggae and Hip Hop outfits, and more recently in a Drum'N'Bass setting... I've never had a problem with the tone and overall sound that this rig creates... it's so diverse and adjustable... I've spent hours tweaking the controls, in search of different tones... then set it all back level, and been amazed at how awesome it sounds naturally, just set flat When I first bought the rig, I was slightly worried by the lack of a 15" woofer, as a lot of my work involves a lot of low-end, but the Tri12 really packs a punch, and can really create a rumble when it wants to! Trust me, there's no worries there! The range of speakers involed in the setup means that the entire spectrum is covered, so that every frequency is projected loud and clear... I spent a lot of time vising various shops around the country, trying different setups, before deciding on this rig... I'm sure that whenever I'm next in the position to buy a rig, it will be very similar to this... As mentioned before - If I could afford to keep the rig, I would... but I'm going to be travelling for most of the year, and will only need my PJB Briefcase, and the value of this rig would be better spent on other things right now... Speaking of Value.... WT400s come-up on eBay every once-in-a-while, and I've seen the past few sell around the £400 mark... I've not seen many Accugroove cabs come up for sale recentl, but the Gallery lists the Tri10 at £595, and the Tri12 at £645... I'm going to ask for £1150 for the entire rig... which will include all relevent cables, the Eden's box, rack ears, and all manuals... however, it will exclude shipping costs. I'd prefer to deliver the rig myself, for petrol cost, or meet you half-way I travel around the country quite extensively, so it shouldn't be a problem to deliver - also if you'd like to come and try the rig for yourself, that can be arranged. Alternatively, if anyone would like to make an offer, they're more than welcome. As for selling seperates... I'll have to wait and see what sort of offers come in... Trades (4 string fretless, six string fretted, EUBs, Small combos, DL4s) may also be entertained, but as mentioned, I'm ideally looking for cash. Also - if you'd like any more pics or information, feel free to PM me your email address and I'll get back to you ASAP Many thanks Rich
22. Thanks for the good comments so far guys - as mentioned, I'll get some better pics taken at the weekend, for you all to drool over, and hopefully to find this beauty a new home! Rich
23. Hi folks Being that time of year, I've set myself a New Year's Resolution to spend the Summer months travelling round Europe... and to do it in style, so I'm going to buy myself an old VW Bus, have it restored, and drive my way through Europe... with all the cost involved in buying the bus, restoring it, getting all the valid paperwork to travel through the various regions etc... I'm going to have to make a few sacrifices... so... Up for sale is my USA Fender 1975 Re-issue Jazz bass... in Natural finish, with a (gorgeous feeling!) Maple neck and fingerboard, a 3-ply black, white, black scratchlpate... all original parts, in very good condition. The only small blemish that I can see is a small mark on the front pickup cover - which may even polish-out (I can take photos if needed.) It is a fantastic bass, I've only ever heard fantastic reviews about them... it plays beautifully, with no issues... a beautiful low action with no fretbuzz, nice straight neck.. really well looked-after... The bass comes with the original Fender moulded hardcase & original Fender strap. It is in pretty-much perfect condition really, I'll give it a good polish at the weekend, and give it a good check-over For now, I'll post an old (a few months) pic of the bass, I'll have some new ones taken over the weekend. Having seen previous posts on the forum, with similar basses for sale, I'll start the price at £850 delivered personally by myself... alternatively, if you'd like to make me an offer for the bass, and to arrange your own collection (be it by yourself, or a courier firm) let me know... I could also look-into postage for the bass, but I'm not keen to do this, from previous bad experiences... I will entertain trade offers, but as mentioned, I'm only selling the bass to fund a vintage split-screen VW Camper... if you have one you'd like to offer me, let me know ;-) Thanks for your time Rich
