1. +1 For Promenade Music in Morecambe - for bass ask for Gary.
2.
A lot of these companies would do well to take a leaf out of Lakland's book when it comes to demoing the tonal capacity of their products.
Thoroughly agree that Lakland have the right idea to auditioning via the internet. I am very impressed that they cover different genres, on different strings on all positions. Now that is attention to detail and speaks well into Lakland's guiding principles.
3. I've also used Doodle to send out a list of alternative dates and get people to choose. Very useful.
4. Bump for a fine 5-string bass.
5. Bump for February - cannot believe that I still have this - there are so many great write ups for this head and particularly for Hartke kit.
6. Just got mine back - didn't get any email from Real - but very happy all the same. If you look at my posting then that's less than a week from pick up to return.
7. Woohoo - just got my TC BH250 back from Real - it seems fine and acquired a new sticker The paperwork says " Carried out minor internal modification." I suppose it looks better than checking, tightening and applying loctite to bolts! Zero charge to me.
8. We have a female lead singer, and though some songs maybe a bit weird for a female singer (Brown Sugar) she gets on fine with everything. The only issue, and it affects me more than the rest, is sometimes we've had to make some very large key changes.
9.
I'm happy Real contacted me direct once I'd registered the RMA to arrange a courier to come by today. I have packed my BH250 in it's original box. I'd let this thread know when it gets picked up and when it gets returned.
Picked up by courier this afternoon. And no I've not paid anything. I was just careful to be at home otherwise I would have got charged for the courier call.
10. I'm happy - I contacted TCE - logged a ticket; they responded saying contact UK (Real); contacted Real raised a RMA; requested they arrange courier to pick up, courier came this afternoon and picked it up. Just wondering how long until I get it back. Hopefully it will be open it up, check bolts, apply loctite, re-assemble and send out by courier.

12. I have been in touch with TC Electronic, raised a ticket who then asked me to get in touch with Real. I contacted them who asked me to complete a RMA Request and to await their response. Good job my Hartke HA3500 hasn't sold as I've a gig coming shortly and Murphy's Law says that the BH250 will be away at the same time.
13. Thanks for posting this and tweeting it.
14. I still have my Sennheiser HD420 I bought when I started work (a while back) they are open but were great headphones. More recently I bought some Shure E series which fit my ears much better than the iPod/iPhone ear buds. Recently I have had to practice at home using headphones as my good lady does not like repeatedly hearing the songs I'm practising so I have been using some Sony closed phones (MDR-V300) which are fine.
15. Bump for the weekend - this will be a great amp for someone.
16. Thanks for the info.
17. As new Cort C5H for sale. Fantastic array of sounds from two humbucker pickups with two band active EQ, pickup blend knob and push pull active passive on the vol. Mid boost micro switch. Mahogany body in Pearl White with abalone binding; wenge neck and lightweight tuners. It was bought in August 2009 from new at the Cumbria Guitar Show and has been very well looked after. Comes with a basic gig bag, a spare set of strings. See photo Reason for Sale: this was my first 5-string but I have just bought a BB425 - which has tones that suit my playing much more than the C5H. I do not need both. Location: NW Lancashire Delivery: Collection is preferred as I am just 6 minutes off the M6 at Junction 35. But add £20 for postage and packing or make your own arrangements. Price: [s]£170[/s] Reduced to £150
18. Yesterday was New Bass Day when I got my new Yamaha BB425x in red from Promenade Music in Morecambe. I wondered what strings come with the BB and if anyone had any recommended string sets for the BB? Vince
19. Bump for a fine Hartke head
20. SOLD
21. For Sale a MXR M234 Analog Chorus pedal. It is very new and used a few times. It has a lovely warm sound. It is under 6 months old. As you can see from the linked photos - it is unscratched and in excellent condition. Photos: https://www.dropbox....uj/IMG_0049.jpg https://www.dropbox....7u/IMG_0048.jpg Reason for Sale: I got a TC Electronic Corona Chorus free with my BH250 rebate. I don't need two chorus pedals and though it was hard to choose between them - the ability to load a Tone Print into the BH250 and Corona was the decider. Location: NW Lancashire Delivery: Price includes postage to UK. Also 6 minutes from Junction 35 M6 if you want to pick up. Price: £70
22. Up for sale an almost brand new MXR M234 Analog Chorus pedal. It comes with its box and paperwork. I have used it a couple of times and can vouch that it works fine on both battery and mains adaptor. Reason for sale: I bought a TC Electronic BH250 and got my free Corona chorus pedal. I don't need two chorus pedals. It was hard to choose but I can load up TonePrints in the Corona or the BH250 - so a bit more flexibility. But I can say that I got the MXRM 234 as I thought it sounded really nice, warm smooth chorus. Location: NW Lancashire Delivery: I can post this, or you can come and collect (I am 6 minutes off the M6 Junction 35). Price: £70 including UK postage
23. Thanks - it's a Minotaur one.
24. Is this still for sale?
25. Up for sale a Hartke HA3500 bought previously on Basschat ( see http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1392208 ) . It is still in the Hartke case, and everything is working - both pre-amp stages, GEQ, Compressor and DI. I was recently recorded at home for a couple of tracks on a newly released CD and my cab was mic'd up and the DI was also used. There was no issues with the DI. It looks in the same condition as Jonny's photos. I attach a more recent photo. Reason for sale: I bought a TC Electronic BH250. This head was my first real purchase of a bass rig and has been used with a Ashdown ABM mini15. There have been no hiccups or any issues with it. I just want to offset the cost of my new BFB Midget coming in January. Location: NW Lancashire Delivery: Preferably arrange to pick up (I am 6 minutes off Junction 35 M6) or arrange your own courier. I have original Hartke cardboard box. Price: £170 ono
