Bass rigs-the bigger the better in my experience.
That statement only tells us that you don't know how to use an EQ.
Well take it that i do know how to use EQ because that's how it was ment to portray. I must need English lessons. -

Setting your gear up.. i'm talking about speaker placement, eq, volume etc. My comment about the markbass was about it's lack of tonal competence and my dislike of it in the first place. Two different things. -

I love it when the fridge comes with me to a gig, regarless of venue size, it just sounds so right. If you know how to set up your gear right you would never sound bad. I have been playing through a markbass F1 and 2x10" tho at jam gigs and it sounds horrible, flat and lifeless, nothing touches a real 70's SVT and 8x10". -
Something we agree on, it's a very nice tone.

Good info , thanks

You can take the piss all you like red. You posted wanting help, I gave you a link to help you later posted that you sold valves yourself and then edited your posts. And continue to take the piss. What a lovely person
I have a pair of original Gold Lion KT88s going, tested, work fine. Not ken on selling my valves, I consider them an appreciating and useful asset, since I get through valve amps attemtping to satisfy my insatiable curiousity about them.
I'd want 6 if you know anyone ?
This has the making of a classic thread! Bigbottomend - you're not a competitor of RedFoxenLawman Valves Inc are you, what with linking to your own Ebay valve business? The mystery deepens....
Classic

Awesome
When people speak of the Mullard as being the all-time, ultimate pre-amp value, which one of what seems like quite a few is it, please? Where would one buy some from with safety and quality assurance, please? I don't feel too confident just going to an ebay seller. Thanks
You asked this question in the original post. You then admit to selling valves. It's quite simple, I get it, without my tin hat on, doesnt anyone else.
Hey, do you think both Mr F' and I work for MI6, too, and that we're secretly watching you...??
I don't think or assume anything other than what is in this thread.

Exactly what i thought.

Well i have plenty Mullard ecc83 and i'm not after buying or selling any. The only things i maybe interested in are 12dw7, 12bh7 & 6550a / KT88 Red and Mr Foxen, do you two have a buisness partnership ? Personally i feel that the OP used a leading question and then to follow up with a link to a website of your own selling valves smells of an atempt at direct selling.

"which one of what seems like quite a few is it" What does this mean ? NOS will say "made in gt britian" or "british made" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULLARD-ECC83-12AX7-B339-SAME-CODE-TESTED-6-AVAILABLE-/320831288794?pt=UK_Consumer_VintageAudio_RL&hash=item4ab308f5da

I think their great if your really ugly. They take the attention off your face so you dont scare the audience away. Maybe he's trying to tell you something ?

Everyone is different so that's why i asked for any other possible theme's as there is an option at the bottom to change between the current two. I have it set on the ips one now as it seems darker and more pleasing to me. The background is obviously white and the font seems obviously wrong, and generally posts seem too spread out. I just prefered the old one better, I also find vBulletin boards better to read if that helps ? Edit (again) I just been looking at other sites i visit and it's clicked for me what it is. "Compactness" (if thats a word) I tend to scoll through threads and posts very quickly, looking for specific things that i might be interested in, especially on classifieds. The more compact the thread and thread titles are the better for me. So to summerise a theme that is more "compact" would be appreciated.
The old design won't be coming back (ever), but we will be tweaking the new one to hopefully make it as practical as possible for all.
Shame, well unless theres a theme option to view as it was then you lost me on a regular basis

I can read it but i find it awkward to read. Much prefer the old design, sorry.

I dont visit much now. Same for me, it's hard to read. Please give an option to view it as it was.
