I happened to spot this Musicmaster for sale in Guitar Guitar Glasgow. Caught my eye as I owned a white one back in the day. You could get them to send it down to a store nearer to you. Hope this helps. http://m.guitarguita...151121290907002 CB
Many thanks, I really wanted a trade but this is tempting.

New [s]trade[/s] sale value: £550 [s]New options: extension cab to fit my Markbass Mini CMD121P plus cash my way Maybe some Jazz Bass, or any other bass? Offer me whatever, but be prepared for declining. Only straight or cash my way trades though, as I just bought another bass, so no more spending this year! Hello, So this is only a feeler at the moment and it really depends if I will find something that will be interesting. It is a TRADE ONLY for American Mustang or Musicmaster bass. Visual condition doesn't really matter, I know these are considered to be a vintage stuff now and most of them I have seen are close to a relic look, so as long as the neck is straight, electronics work and frets are decent I will be up for a swap, but only after a meeting, so I could try it first.[/s] I have bought it brand new from Wunjos in Denmark street about 2 months ago, and it's made in 2015 so it's pretty fresh, but as it is a road worn bass, it came with some dings and body finish is dulled etc etc, it already gained some extra dings but you couldn't really tell unless you would have another one of these right next to it. Neck on this bass is great, and it feels almost like a Jazz neck. It is strung with DR flats and sounds funky. Most shops are selling them for around £770, comes in a Fender gig bag and with all the paperwork or gig bag candy The pics don't do any justice to the bass, it is hard to catch that candy red dulled finish but at least here is something Scott Devine recently started using this bass too, and here is one of the vids when he used it. https://youtu.be/5Ue5MEHYyTM I am based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, you can pop in and try it out, I will also deliver free of charge within London area or anywhere reasonably close to Borehamwood, or for some extra petrol money if it's further away. Meeting halfway possible too. I won't post I'm afraid, as I don't have any solid box or case. Any questions, please let me know! Cheers Pat

You're welcome, and no worries, I can understand that some people prefer to try the bass first, as this is the case with me and I personally went to Bass direct to try it out. However, if you will change your mind, I might be in Coventry and that's about half way, and if I will be there, I'll be staying at my friends house and could bring it and my marks combo for you to try out. Thanks Pat

This is a bit of a pain for me, as I just got it probably less than a month ago as a pre-owned from Bass direct, for just a quid short of £800. It is absolutely amazing in a red see-thru finish with quilted maple top, headed graphite neck and a gold hardware. It is in excellent condition, the only bad side is a buckle rash on the back in one spot (I am going to add a proper picture of this today or tomorrow), and that's about it. Not sure about the year as I didn't get that info when I got it, but the gold on the pots started to fade just a little bit so it is certainly not a recent bass (I am not a Status expert, it's the first one I've ever had). String action is very low, if that is not your thing you can always put it up. String spacing is about 16.5mm on the bridge. It came with a hardcase, not in a perfect condition but works well. Can personally deliver within a sensible driving distance, can meet up half-way, or post at buyers expense (will post the estimated postage price soon too). The only reason for sale is the fact that I am into producing music and I use Ableton, they have just released their Push 2 controller if that tells you anything, and I have spent a lot of money buying it, and I need some food. I can't see myself parting with the other 2 basses I have, so this one sadly needs to find a new home. I hope that the price is fair, I would love to get back what I paid, but I have put the price a bit lower and I can always listen to some reasonable offers. Might accept a CHEAP bass with cash my way too. Here are some pics And here is a little video I made with this bass https://www.youtube....h?v=p31-9GO6plE
Oh my! That is very pretty. I don't usually go for heads on Status basses but that one looks lovely with the gold tuners. Any idea when the bass was built?
It is indeed a very good looking bass! To be honest I don't know anything about this bass, except the fact it sounds amazing. I know it must be a bit old because the gold hardware faded a bit in some points. I am considering dropping an email to Status and ask them a few bits about it. I really would like to know some more things about the electronics. It active, but I am not sure if the single battery is for the pickups, or if it has an active preamp. It seems like it is just a volume, balance and tone, but the tone pot has a centre notch to it, and I've never came across anything like that in a passive electronics. Also, this bass has the hottest output out of anything I had before, if I turn the volume pot all the way up, then my little markbass combo is shaking my whole room even with the lowest volume setting.

Hey guys, I think it is about a time to go out there and jam with other people! Recently I spent way too much time practicing scales and other stuff. But where to go? Can you recommend me any good jam sessions with friendly and easy going people? So far I've been only to a Hoxton Jam in a Troy bar (and a few more, but not really a funk or a fusion ones), never went on stage yet but totally loved the vibe, and been amazed by the level of the players (especially the bass players). Also if you could suggest a 'must know' tunes that are most likely to be called on the jams like that? Cheers

I am a fresh Status owner! But my bass certainly is not freshly made, it's a second hand S1

Hey guys, This is a brand new bass that we got at the moment, as this was build beside the other orders, and it can be yours for much less than a custom order. It is a true beauty, with a lot of lovely maple. Here is the specification : body - alder top - flamed maple fingerboard - birdseye maple neck - 3pcs flamed maple / 2pcs amarath 34" scale / 24 frets / 16.5mm spacing at the bridge pickups - Bassculture HB with matching wood covers electronics - Delano 3 way bridge - ETS tuners - Gotoh GB7 If you would like to pop in and try it out, this can be arranged, I live in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Courier is not a problem and it can be posted internationally too. This is a top spec, beautifully hand crafted instrument for a great price, and I am pretty sure that anyone who ever had one of the GMR basses in their hands can confirm that. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Also please check my feedback to make sure that you are dealing with a basschatter with a good past Cheers, Pat

Just met with Cliff today and sold him my 64 reissue Jazz. Cliff been waiting for me at the spot at the right time and we spent about an hour talking about bass gear. Can't recommend enough, it was a great pleasure to meet and make a deal with Cliff and before that the communication was great too! As more people said before me, deal with absolute confidence. Hi there, This is just testing the waters and see what will happen, as I really adore this bass and recently played and gigged it more than my main custom bass. But I am just about to order another custom instrument, and in a few months I will need quite large amount of money to pay for it. This is a top of the range Fender Jazz, 64 reissue, but as Fender says, the best reissues they ever made, with clay coloured dots, reverse tuners, ashtrays (bridge cover has a foam underneath to mute the strings for that classic sound), and a Nitro flashcoat finish, very very thin, and not as hard as modern days finishes and this will be aging very quickly. Bass already has some small marks here and there, even that I take great care of all my instruments with this one is actually quite hard not to get any marks. These basses in Lake Placid Blue version with matching headstock are selling for about 1629 quid brand new, so I think that is a fair price for it considering few marks (custom shop would charge you extra for them ), and the bass comes with original hard case and all case candy, currently strung with DR rounds. and here is a little video of me playing some funky grooves on it, just mind the audio quality is from a camera, and bass was strung with flats https://www.youtube....h?v=wPh9wClUTHk I might consider some part exchanges too, any questions just hit me up. You are more than welcome to pop in and try it out yourself on my Markbass combo.
