1. How many "frets" would the neck need? I have something which may suit it.
2. I have a Kramer The Duke headless. The bridge is a Fender-style BBOT. Can anyone tell me whether this design is original? I ask because the E and G strings do not sit over the pup poles, and therefore I suspect that this bridge is a replacement and that the original bridge had a narrower spacing. Any info gratefully received! Thanks for reading
3.
Gender fluid?
Just paint it on...
4.
They make water filters don't they?
Yes, but not to international standards.
5.
She's got big hands for a girl?
Probably why she's scowling... "funny little six-string, I want a proper-sized guitar with four strings "
6.
Ta. After Colin's time in the HIllage band then. I guess he'd joined Camel (still a member, touring Japan soon) by then. P
I think so. He was gone from Hillage's band by the time I saw them (Sheffield, 1979 or '80), I am sure.
7. Since this is the basis of the Brexit campaign, I consider this thread to be too political to contribute to.
8.
Was Colin Bass on that Hillage tour? He's a mate and might be interested in the programme. P
No, he wasn't. The musicians were Hillage, Miquette Giraudy, Dave Stewart, Paul Francis, Andy Anderson. Support was Trevor Rabin plus his band.
9. The headstock is carefully constructed so that you can slice hard-boiled eggs with it. Also, I am suspicious of its ergonomics - I think that top horn may produce neck dive.
10. I'd leave any band that appeared in.
11.
I also seem to recall a Take Fat - inlcuding a "Blobby Williams" on a certain TV progamme a while ago! There must be more, surely.......
Wouldn't Fake Tat be a better name?
12.
And a favourite of mine Dread Zeppelin - reggae versions of Led Zep with an Elvis impersonator. Actually, quite good at times!
When they're good, they're really good - well preferable to Led Zep IMO. (I was going to type "the originals", but under the circumstances... )
13. That's a looker, for sure. I love the binding on the F-holes
14. I've seen a couple of reworked B2s. BCer Anzoid had one, a slimline version of a "normal" body with a long top horn. I've got another, which was made by BCer yorksfivestringer from a B2 which (IIRC) got run over; it looks vaguely like a Status Streamline.
15. I'm just wondering if there is space for the battery to move slightly when the bass is moved. If the battery connection or leads are dodgy or fractionally loose, that might do it. Try moving the battery when the bass is plugged in. (My original thought was that it might be the keyboard player )
16. I complimented one of the Four Brothers on his hat once (I think I may have bought him a drink as well?). I didn't realise who he was till later, when he and the rest of the band walked on stage all wearing hats like that

18.
Your camera is taking a very long time to recharge.
Good point. Thanks, I'll get on it.
19. And while we're at it, here's a Foundation fiver... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USA-MADE-PEAVEY-FOUNDATION-5-STRING-BASS-GUITAR-MAPLE-NECK-PASSIVE-TWIN-PICKUPS/131781409290?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D61ba2c07fc3c4726827de436c280cb44%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D131779267510
20. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peavey-Dyna-bass-5-string-bass-guitar-Immaculate-/182127506487?hash=item2a67a53437:g:XPAAAOSwt7pXM0ue Liverpool, £18 to ship. White. Looks nice. Sadly I'm skint... though I haven't got a Peavey fiver. Tempting.
21. Nice. It's probably just as well the neck is too chunky for me, otherwise I'd be digging the hole deeper...
22. That's not the first I've run across which has been made passive-only. Do their electronics tend to break down?
