1.
My old Squier P bass special, its been played about with as you can see, was originally sunburst, since then its had a fretless neck, now gone, some new pickups, new tuners, won't ever get rid, and I still gig it too
I recognise those tuners...
2.
Does anyone rehearse at someone's house?
Yes. Three-piece, no drummer, so it's definitely easier. (Mind you, they had a drummer before I joined, and still rehearsed there.)
3. Per the seller, "One of the pictures shows small scuff marks on the guitar. It may be able to be buffed out. ... We'll have the guitar professionally set by STARR Guitars ..." So it might buff out, but seller isn't going to get the tech to do it while it's being set up. Hmm.
4. It was relisted for £295... (No longer available.)
5. Thanks folks, and apologies to the OP. I should have stayed quiet
6.
I always wondered where Lynyrd Skynyrd got their song titles from ...
Erik Satie, "Suite: Hommes A La Bahama".
7. I shall have to check that out. Thanks
8.
By 4'33" isn't silent. The musicians don't play but there are always plenty of noises going on during the performance.
True. But I doubt a silent band would be any different.
9. Those will go pretty quickly, I reckon.
10. Mike bought my SR500. I dropped it off at his, we had a nice chat and I had the chance to try out some of his basses, thanks Mike A fine use of a Saturday afternoon. What, the sale? Oh that went fine. I'd be very happy to deal with him again. Get well soon Mike!
11. Why can I hear marching sounds? (Nice set )
12. Mint. Or you could put one of those fancy wooden ones on. That's perverse enough to be worth a try, I reckon.
13. Since nobody else has mentioned John Cage...
14.
Yes but it is USA made don't forget...
So, would converting it to British time reduce its value?
15. Generally they are hard to sell at cost - sellers usually make a loss. It seems to be more profitable to part them out. Bitsas are often quite specific to the maker, so their attraction to other people can be dubious.
16.
That's... expensive.
And ugly.
17. Only useful if you play in a four-piece
