  1. I've got one of these, was playing it last week. It's very good for its price point; I've got cobalt flats on it, it sounds nice. If I needed an inexpensive fretted four-string this would definitely be on my list.
  2. I've got one of these. Nicely built, sounds good. Heavy! Mine's got Fender black-nylon tapes on it. (It has convinced me I don't really like P-J basses, but that's not its fault )
  3. I see he's changed the title... ah well.
  4. I laughed. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325508542447?hash=item4bc9d22fef:g:1h0AAOSw2xdjzair
  5. Only if you had one. Or maybe he's got a bee in his bonnet about his version being better than theirs?
  6. Not implied, I hope. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon.
  7. Interesting... this is a four-string version of the five-string fretless Thomann were selling as a Harley Benton HBZ-6000 (I think). And the headstock looks very Peavey. I have the fiver, I love it to bits.
  8. I bought a pickup from Alex. Quick turnround, well packaged. I'd be happy to deal with him again. Thanks
  9. How loud is it? Does it compete with an acoustic guitar?
  10. I think it might be heavy... the buyer would have to be an athlete.
  11. I had one of those for a while. (Not in the 80s, mind.)
  12. It's the only music station I listen to. (Well, apart from the Radio 2 Folk Show Presented by... yup. Mark Radcliffe.) I don't like Craig Charles much, TBH. Music's fine, I just find him annoying.
  13. There's no need to make a whole meal of it... tut tut.
  14. Tempting. What does it sound like? I guess it's a piezo pickup?
  15. Aesthetically I don't mind that, though I think it's not priced to sell. I quite like the headstock, much better than a lot of the pointy ones. It's probably more comfortable than it looks. It does look a bit like a crumpled envelope though. Looks like a P pickup in a bespoke housing.
  16. Looks: 3/10. Bridge: double saddles. 4/10. Ergonomics: Can't play it sitting down. According to the seller it doesn't dive. 4/10. I'm definitely plumping for the "weird" camp, myself.
  17. Thanks, that's exacttly what I wanted to know.
  18. Does it have side dots? If it does, are they on the "fret positions", or between them? Thanks.
