1. I have a Rail, which I love, and an Alien, which I'm going to sell, and a Duke, which I'm going to sell. The B2A has a stuck or dead trussrod and is up for spares or repair. I've never played the Alien outside the house, but the Duke definitely has tuning problems. Maybe it's faulty?
2. Screwdrivers, batteries, leads, mics. Paracetamol, sticking plasters. Extension lead. My own personal medication.
3.
Isn't there a 6-string with four fretted strings and the D and G strings repeated as fretless? So it's E A D G D G with the bottom four fretted.
Yes, that's the Ashula. I should have explained its layout earlier.
4. Thanks Jon. The truss rod is the only major issue, IMO. It does turn, but no more than 90 degrees in either direction and it's very "sticky". I don't trust it at all. Shame, because the bass makes a nice noise.
5. Welcome

7. Hohner B2A For parts or repair. Bad stuff: - The trussrod is not usable. It turns about a quarter turn, very jerkily. Someone with skills and equipment may be able to fix it. If you are happy with a fairly high action (4mm at 12th fret), it might be usable as is, but in the longer term it will need fixing. - The usual dents and scratches, one of which goes through to the wood. The plastic thumbrest has been removed but does come with it. - The electrics have been completely revised and are now passive-only. The preamp is not installed; a blank module is in place. I will enclose a replacement which should work (though I've never tried it). The battery/electrics compartment door is missing, but at present this is not an issue. The electrics can be crackly but some switch cleaner should sort this out. I have no idea about the DI jack, I've never attempted it. The 6mm jack was said to be loose when I got it, but I've never found any problem with it. - One of the electrics cover screws ought to be replaced. - The gig bag is a Rockbag and is actually too big for it. It's in decent nick. Pics here: http://s1295.photobu...k?sort=3&page=1 The pickups work. The tuners work, a bit stiffly. The electrics can be a bit crackly when adjusted. The switch in the front I think must have been passive/active, because it's now passive/silent (with occasional hums). £75 shipped.
8. 55 in February.
9. Too much cymbal for my liking.
10. Is the headstock supposed to be like that? It looks as if it's been modified.
11. I liked the birdfish. Not the Tesla; the neck's too short.
12. Fives are handy for low notes, but the real point of them, to me, is having to move less often. But I'm one of those people who doesn't get on with wide necks, so I'm steadily moving my fives on.
13.
Maybe showing my age, but I'm listening more & more to Radio 3 Late Junction - weird and wonderful stuff
Me too. Plus Radio 6. This is after a long time with almost no music radio. I hate Radio 1, and a lot of the ex-Radio 1 people on Radio 2. Steve Wright is one of the reasons I quit R1 in the first place.
14. It seems pointless to me.
15. Pretty basses
16. Cirrus are good

18. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/bass-guitar-awesomely-good-value-cool-guitar-/1151358014 I don't know much about Vesters except that they had a decent reputation and were removed from the marketplace by Fender somehow - or at least Fender got the blame...
19.
Great basses these. I've got one the same on here too. To be honest I don't know why I'm selling it? Stunning looking, great sounding and wonderful players. GLWTS
Keep it
20. What size waist is it for, if I may ask? Thanks
