2.
"What year car do you drive" - Seriously?!
I'm guessing it's American for "is your car reliable?".
3. Har har... I'm curious about the red patch on the fingerboard by the nut. If I had any interest in buying it, I'd be asking about that.

Hi

Hello
5. Welcome aboard! The J looks nice
6. I hadn't realised Prakash John used Spectors. He used a Rick of some sort earlier. Underrated bassist IMO.
7. If you can find an aluminium-necked Kramer with a humbucker, that might do. Mine sounds almost like a guitar run through an octaver.
8.
Sounds like you may well have all dodged a bullet there: imagine Stig Of The Dump Turning up to every gig...
This. We sound bad enough with me playing ...
9.
Ooh, PM'ed about the Labella Nylons. I'd been wanting to try those...
Second dibs please
10.
Sometimes there is a sticker inside the cavity with a model number or series number.
Thanks. I think you're right, the BC basses have a note on the inside of the cover plate. But I do wonder how anyone looking at the advert would be able to tell.
11. I haven't seen an SB401 on eBay before. Mind you, I don't see how you'd know it was an SB401... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-collection-SGC-Nanyo-SB401-made-in-japan-bass-guitar-/141871310232?hash=item2108306598:g:dC0AAOSwwPhWjpkp
12. If you can find a decent second-hand Peavey Foundation, then grab with both hands. About £150.
13. It's always nice to come back to a project you liked. Good luck
14. I do wonder if there are ways to build a sleeve to thicken the neck of a bass... Doesn't work for the nut, of course.
15. Three here... a fretted/fretless pair (courtesy of vmaxblues, thanks ) and a pink one I got off That eBay.
16. I have one called the Frankenjazz, but that's the name its maker gave it in the sale thread. The others have not been given names, nor will they be.
17. I just saw this on eBay and wondered if it might be the same maker. Not the same model, obviously. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bryce-Fretless-Bass-Guitar-4-String-/252200301015?hash=item3ab84f31d7:g:4oYAAOSw7FRWYyJN
