1.
That seems fairly elementary.
One would think so, but I'm guessing they will have difficulties to iron out. And it will cost. Earthing, airlocks, fire insurance, waterproofing...
  2.
What is the diameter of the holes for the tuners please.
Holes are 19mm diameter.
  3. Been having a look at some of the other HB basses on the Thomann site. It looks as if their B-stock items might actually be worse than some of the Dekos... ! Also, the whole thing looks like a huge mix+match parts shop. If you want a J-style bass with a reverse headstock, they're cheap enough (even at full price) that it's possible to buy two, for the price of a starter bass six or seven years ago. Surreal.

I bought Charlie's Vintage fretless neck. All went well and I am a happy bunny. I'd cheerfully deal with him again. Thanks
  5.
They are talking about introducing a Table in their stores so you do not lose them, over any period.
How noble of them. Assuming it's not just some sort of shell game, anyhow.
  6.
This will hopefully make the reason for the plug a bit clearer. The anchor at the end of the rod extends past the end of the channel routed from the rear and is a larger diameter, so it is necessary to drill through from the headstock end.
Lightbulb! Thank you, I finally twig.
  7.
The numbers on the tickets in Argos always start after No. 118
That's why you can never find them after you put them down for just a few minutes.
  8.
Because it's a one-piece maple neck with a skunk stripe? My Ash/Maple 76P is just the same.
Thanks for trying to explain, but I'm still baffled... Okay, manufacture involves machining the TR channel into the neck from behind, then gluing the skunk stripe in over the channel. That bit I get. But why drill through at the nut? I'm not seeing it.
  9.
How about taking a sander to those sharp body edges!!??
And deepening the chamfer under your right forearm while you're at it.
  10.
He's playing with Darrel Higham but I've had no luck finding where and when sorry.
Thanks for trying, appreciated.
  11.
Pawn Hearts - Van Der Graaf Generator.
True!
  12. I've not seen one of these before. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Super-Bass-800-Japan-/221868548244?hash=item33a8656094 I don't know what it ought to look like, so I've no clue if it's even what it claims to be. TBH I'm a bit suspicious of the trussrod arrangement - access at the heel, but a plug at the nut?! Why would anyone do that?
  13.
... (www.bonnevillemusic.bandcamp.com ...
Well, I enjoyed it
  14.
The white/tort/RW Super P plays and sounds as good as it looks. David's off on tour soon so i wonder if the sales related. Fantastic opportunity to grab a quality bit of kit.
Do you know where he's playing?
  15.
Deps are always paid. Regardless of your desire or otherwise to be a permanent member of this band, if you allow this precedent then you will be seen as an easy touch and will be asked to play a lot more freebies, perhaps to the point of not being paid where previously you would have been. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot bass playing pole. Whatever that is.
About 110" scale, I reckon. Now I have GAS And, what he said: Do it now and you're stuck with it.
  16.
They represent great value and with £50 be daft not to.
Indeed.
  17. Welcome A colleague tells me that instruments are hard to get/expensive in Brazil (his wife is Brazilian). Would it be cost-effective (and legal!) to buy something here, take it home and sell it?
  18. Can't afford one myself, but that doesn't mean you lovely people can't http://www.retrovibe.co.uk/ (Disclaimer: I am not now, nor have I ever been, etc.etc.)
  19.
There is a UK company that sell the same thing, Rothko and Frost http://www.rothkoand...-dot-inlay-rod/ I have used these and also Lumnlay and can't tell the difference. If you want genuine Luminlay, don't worry about ordering, they are spot on.
R+F seems to have moved the page; this seems to be the new page: http://www.rothkoandfrost.com/glow-in-the-dark-luminescent-inlay-dots-pack-of-12/
  20. I have no idea about these, myself, but this may be interesting to someone. It comes with a hard case. Poor pictures may keep the price low? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2a573915d0
  21.
only £10 shipping though - surely actual shipping costs would be more?!
This is a problem if the seller refuses to cover the extra cost, which would presumably be a big no-no for eBay.
