1.
Does Stevie Wonder......."What does Robert Plant??"
Who knows... though I've heard that Brian May.
2. I have far too many. I can't justify it. They take up too much space and I will lose money on almost all of them. Foolishness. Edit: Peak was 58, about the time of the original post. There were also some projects, about three. Plus two uprights, an Ashbory, two cellos, two violins, a viola, an acoustic guitar, a trombone, an electric guitar, a banjo (on loan to an ex-guitarist), and access to a piano and a flute. Some of these have gone by now. And the answer is No, I can't play any of them well.
3. I don't know about 8-strings, but Thomann were selling Dean Rhapsody 12-string basses earlier this year.
4. Somebody buying a cheap weekend listing when their camera's not charged?
5. Aria Sinsonido... 3.125 kg in its bag.
6.
Lovely, right up as far as the nut Sorry, I'm allergic to pointy headstocks but apart from that it's a gorgeous looker. That quilt is lovely.
This...
7.
At £14 a set you can't go wrong - I like them so much that if you buy a set and you're not happy with them, I'll buy them off you...
... and if he doesn't, I probably will
8. Fretless Yamaha BEX 4...
9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlk0-HQh2j4 Richard and Linda Thompson, on top of their game. Live, as well.
10. That's got to be a bargain. But I already have more basses than cash; so, GLWTS

Strange Bass

Welcome Can we ask what you paid for it, was it new, and where you got it?
12. Anyone know what this was when it was young and innocent? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BASSE-FRETLESS-CUSTOMISE-4-CORDES-PREAMP-ACTIF-/371444789298?hash=item567bd5b032
13. Sadly out of my price range They look the absolute mutts though
14. That looks quite a bit like the CMI p-bass I bought from BCer oldslapper (nice guy ). The tort in particular looks very similar. Sadly I had to change the neck (immovable trussrod) and it's now wearing a Collins J-width neck.
15. I like Status Hotwire flats.
16. That's a beast! Way outside my range, sadly. Good luck with your sale
17. Useful (and gobsmacking!) site for weird Italian/Russian/Australian/whatever guitars of the 60s and 70s... Mainly in Italian, but really, just look at the pictures http://www.fetishguitars.com
18. One time at a rehearsal room we got next door's guitars coming through the building mains electrical supply... !
19. My no-name CAR jazz. £80, from BC-er Mr Foxen (IIRC he got it from eBay as a beater/project bass), and still the bass I'm most comfortable on. It's certainly not the most expensive (though nothing I've got cost me more that £400). It doesn't even sound best. It just plays well and feels comfortable.
20. Good question! This is the one which springs to mind: I sit at my table / and wage war on myself It seems like it's all, it's all for nothing (My first thought was actually "Got to be something by Robyn Hitchcock", but evocative of what ?!)
21.
Ah Yes, whatever happened to Reggie Perrier and CJ?
He didn't get where he is today.
22.
He's obviously typed his serial number in, and it's given him the Japanese E-Series information.
I might try that with my NHS number...
23. Zappa.
