1.
So pretty! Never seen one of these before!
They are not common. But yeah, gorgeous
2. I'm learning Python and SQL, in an effort to make myself more marketable, ho ho. This comment http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__2851898 made me wonder if it would be worthwhile setting up an online searchable database for people who want to know things like the neck pocket dimensions of Hohner B Bass B basses, nut widths, truss rod adjuster sizes, that sort of thing. Would anyone apart from me find this useful?
3.
Reverse headstock, just hope it fits the SX P bass I bought. If not I'll have a whole J for sale
Or possibly a buyer for the neck Also, project pics please
4. I have accumulated several cheap basses (under £100) which need new necks - typically because of stuck trussrods. None are of significant sentimental value. Some are still playable but obviously can't be adjusted. Given that new necks are expensive, what advice would people give? Thanks in advance
5.
I've just ordered the Lh Jazz. Just want the neck for a project so the body could be up for grabs, maybe.
I was wondering about that. Are you left-handed, or going for a reverse headstock?
6. That shouldn't be here for long
7. This, I think, is not a Westone bass: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westone-Custom-Bass-Guitar-/191671824392?hash=item2ca087f008 I am pretty sure it's a bitsa, with horrible hacking under that plastic plate where the bridge has been moved to get the intonation.
8. Possibly a bit ambitious?
9. I can't sing at all any more. I've sung harmony for as long as I can remember - I find it difficult to sing a melody. I've never been able to sing and play together though. Recently my bandmates have pushed me to sing lead on a couple of songs (knowing they'd have to do without the bass), because I have the best voice of the three of us. Net result, I can't sing either.
10. hmm. How wide is the nut? Thanks
11.
PM'd
Thank goodness for that...
12.
I guess it is a bit 'bling' but I like it.
Looks like nice work to me. I think you've every right to be pleased. I'd be bl**dy ecstatic if something I'd done came out that well
13. I know the name and that's all. I'll explore - thanks to the OP
14.
Shall I take it to the bridge ?
The bridge! Where is it?!
15.
I have an Italia Rimini - it has a modern yet 60s sound and styling. I don't play electric bass musch thes days, but when I do, that's the one I pick up, Here: http://www.jhs.co.uk/italia.html scroll down tot he bottom of the page.
What's the neck like on these? I had a Mondial which I'd have kept if the neck had been slimmer.
16.
Something semi-acoustic. Possibly fretless. (I'd love philw's defretted BEX 4 but I really cannot find the cash...)
Currently GASsing for money. If you have any, let me know
17. I think I might just put it in a skip. Seems a shame, but I can't believe it's overpriced and I haven't got the space.
18. Will you still love me tomorrow?
19.
Make that three - unless one of you owns the one I used to have.
Indeed. Thanks for the info - I've not picked either one up for quite a while.
20. I assumed it would be 42mm nut, given the single P pup of the "classic" Blazer.
21. Indeed. I have a Duke and an Alien, and both have aluminium necks. (Which I suppose proves only that one Alien has an aluminium neck... - if I find time I'll dig it out and see if the neck is marked in some way, it's possible that the Alien neck has been replaced with a Duke neck )
22. Quite pretty, though it's a bit elaborate for my taste. Also, I am a bit suspicious of that lower horn. I reckon that might be uncomfortable to play sitting.
