1.
I love the whale song
Me too
 2.
I don't know how to upload pics so let me know what ones you need to see and I will find a way of getting them up. Thanks
Your best bet is to stick them on Photobucket or similar and then link to them.
 3.
White Stripes for me, I like an easy gig at my age.
4.
Custom World Guitars....Amsterdam! Just found it on net....Sent e mail!
Somebody recommended them to me. I can't remember who at the moment. Edit: it was BCer hamfist.
 5. I got an ex-demo US-made Peavey Millennium for £220.
 6.
Same as AT I see them at around £90 but there's a crazy fella in Perth asking £200 on Gumtree Every month he lists loads of basses £100 more than their worth
Does he ever sell any?
 7.
I have one (now fitted with emgs) as a bass that 'does not matter'. Stolen or damaged it is so cheap it does not matter. Good quality assembly, slim and very playable neck. Grain shows through nicely on the red finish. Long top horn makes for good balance and it is light. At £20 is an absolute giveaway.
Indeed. They are much better than their price point might suggest, and at £35 repaired this would be a very good backup or starter. I'm not after it because I've got one already (now wearing half-rounds and tuned from Eb) and I've got too many basses.
 8. Thanks for the writeup Nut's too wide for my liking, but everything else sounds fab. Good job Retrovibe!
 9. hmmm. Wonder if the trussrod's working... cheap source of a nice slim neck
 10. That's completely bonkers. I like it
 11. Interesting six-bolt neckplate. My bitsa P-style fretless has a six-bolt plate; people seemed to think it might be a Kay, but this says maybe not. Its pup doesn't deliver anything like the output you're talking about though
 12. Definitely looks the part
 13. I do like the 2+3 headstock... not that I play fives, mind you Looks like a good deal!
 14. I'm not clear whether this is an SGC Nanyo MIJ Bass Collection or something later; it needs more photos; seller says 1989. But it might be a good deal, if you're in reach of Scunthorpe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bass-guitar-and-amp-/131549803800?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1ea0fab518
 15.
My thoughts exactly but this week the mantra is " don't need another P bass, don't need another red bass, don't need another Peavey bass "
Yup
 16.
Alyctes why not the adorable Dean in Nuclear Green ? I've had to stop myself from getting one many times But then I've my fair share like this or this
I don't like the green, but it's not actually god-awful... (I don't mind the crackly Washburn or the mauve perspex job, though the pointy headstocks don't help...)
 17. I have a red Fury like that. Skinny neck, and really aggressive pup. Certainly worth £100 IMO
 18.
Buckle rash not a problem here but cheese grater belly (or worse) might be...
Belt buckle might be a problem... snag a string and PING!
 19.
Bad? I am disappointed that is in the states or I would be bidding!
Here you go... one in London: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dean-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Custom-Zone-Florescent-Pink-NEW-/281651474626?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4193bc70c2 and its nearly-as-horrible sister: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dean-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Custom-Zone-Yellow-NEW-/271827679160?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4a3137b8
 20. I bet the neck's proper uncomfortable. But I guess you might get used to it.
 21.
Okay, the bottom string is 0.317" gauge. That's eight millimetres! You could make trussrods out of that.
I showed it to my son, and he said you'd have to play it with a mallet. Maybe it's a hammer dulcimer in drag?
 22.
I would like to say to anyone who may be put off by a ply body that I bought one and made a bitsa bass with a fender usa pup and the sound is fantastic! Couldn't believe it. Now I use it quite often. It even has my name on the headstock: 'Legend' Seriously though they can sound really good. Have a bump.
Speaking as someone who bought a MusicDrive bass because its initials are the same as mine, I thank you for the gen and the bump
