I bought some strings from Calum. A clean easy quick transaction, just as it should be. He actually sent them before I'd paid him... ! I'd be happy to deal with him again.

Agree on slides. Make sure it's properly intonated and in tune; it makes much more of a difference on a fretless. Don't think of it as another bass guitar; it's an instrument in its own right.
