1.
Very silly, but also has a good description of specs for equipment & stage: http://www.thesmokin...06-rider?page=0
Well worth reading, for both the above reasons
2. Evening Al. Welcome aboard! PS: Stay out of the For Sale board if you value your bank balance...
3. Pretty sure this is one built from the eBay kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headless-bass-guitar-/321772665240?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4aeb253998
4.
What about having three layers, successively darker, with one being a Jazz shape, one a Precision shape, and one a Rick shape (for the sake of argument, proper basses are also available)?
Clever
5. I'm not certain it's a Satellite, but I had one which looked exactly like that
6. Nasty, IMO.
7.
I guess it would be easy to change - a sheet of vinyl on the layer would change it instantly. I quite like the look of these!
Now that's a really good reason to have one
8.
Definitely seen one. (Wooden body, not perspex.) Link: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5b07778693
I plead guilty to not paying any attention to the pic...
9.
31 and a doubleneck 6/4. It's an illness.
Ain't it just. It came as a bit of a shock to me when I actually started counting.
10.
Never thought about a black pickguard until I saw this. I think it works instead of the tort for a dark contrast. What do you think?
Tasty I might go for dark blue instead?
11. Needs more cowbell.
12.
I'm not traveling but the kit sounds intriguing. Its on eBay?
Definitely seen one. (Wooden body, not perspex.) Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Guitar-DIY-Kit-Project-Headless-4-String-GK-SHB-20-Build-Make-Luthier-New-/390967297683?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_205&hash=item5b07778693
13.
I'm worried it says for decoration of your car hood. Do people actually stick dismembered heads on their cars?
I noticed that. I think lawsuits would follow any collision with a pedestrian.
14. I've lots of stuff I'm not using. I need to sell stuff.
15. Though I suppose it could be worse. Through-body stringing, for instance.
16. (a): Ewww. (b ): is that an EUB?
17. I had a single moment when I thought the body was purple... my life might have changed at that point. GLWTS
18. Interesting. I will revisit over the next few days, see if I actually like them
19. My old band played a Friday night at a Con club, all OK; our usual mix of pop+rock, 50s-90s. So they rebooked for a Saturday. Cool Nobody told us that Saturday was the night the punters danced. And by "dance" I mean "waltzes". We were not well received.
20. They've been trying to sell that for at least two years.
21. Good when dry... not so much when wet. It would need careful sealing. You would not, for instance, want to sweat on it.
22. I like it.
