That's a really good price, IMO. (Assuming it's in decent nick, etc.)

I don't like it, too fiddly; but I guess it's better than "relicing"... apart from anything else it does seem to show some actual skill and ambition.

Would the owner be prepared to remove the electrics cover?

New to me, though it does stir an old memory I can't pin down. The bridge/tuner arrangement is very Kramer The Duke(/Hondo Alien). (The serial number doesn't follow the Kramer patterns I know of, but I'm not well-informed.) Where is it, and how much is the asking price?

I have a P-ish body which is Shoreline Gold (or close to it). It will have a J-width neck and P-J Bartolinis, and I think it needs a scratchplate. What colour should the plate be?

[/quote] I would: 1 - Take it off the bass. 2 - Soak it in penetrating oil for a day. 3 - Use pliers to turn the pin, if you can get any purchase. Failing that, use a Dremel or similar to cut a slot in the pin end, so that you can get purchase on it with a screwdriver. Heat or cold might also be useful in freeing the pin. Cold is probably less risky - put it in the freezer overnight.
