Adrian bought my Steinberger Spirit. I dropped it off with him and we spent a pleasant hour talking about basses and why he really needs to stay well out of the For Sale forums A thoroughly nice bloke and I'd be pleased to deal with him again.

I liked that
Now you mention that... I currently use just the one pedal. A tuner. One input, one output. All I need to do is put the lead from the 'tuner out' at the back of the amp into the 'input' of the tuner. Without my glasses on I can't see what is written on the tuner, nor can I remember which way round it is from the general shape and configuration. But even statistically you would think I could get it right half the time? No.
Been there, done that. Tippex
8lbs. That's not very much, is it. Edit - I need to think about this. I have been going into a bit of a buying frenzy lately and really ought to calm down. But it is a lovely bass, Mike! I'd trade you for one of my Peaveys except you've already bought them all
8lb is not that much. It feels quite chunky, somehow, probably because it's small. No hurry

It balances pretty much where you put it; when I put it on it sits comfortably with the neck tipped up to a comfortable height, sort of armpit level. The neck feels slim to me; it's 39mm at the nut/zero fret, so it might feel skinny to you if you prefer a P. There is a tendency to slide off the end to start with, but I found that didn't last (IMO they should flare the end of the neck slightly, like the Aria Sinsonidos).
Interested...would be ideal for home practice in my small 'lair', better than constantly banging the headstock of my P into the walls! Give me an hour or two to think it over....don't suppose you're heading this way again any time soon are you?
No rush I could come past you next weekend, triangular detour on my way to Bristol; or the weekend of the 14th Feb.
Gray, I play short-scale and am interested in trying a fretless bass, but who is Prose? Tried to get some info online but all I could find was a reference to Edwyn Prose bass guitar tuition. Can you tell me more?
Paul Rose. I believe he's not making basses any longer, which is a shame. He is or was a member here.

You could ask the seller... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/252490-kif-electro-acoustic-bass/

Interesting. It probably helps with neck dive if you're wearing cloth? How is it attached?

fretless bass - what genre do you associate with
The people that inspired me to take up bass were mostly fretless bassists and yet i've never had one. I simply love the phrasings and the sound. I wished i got one when i first started learning bass and after many years of playing i still get the urge to get one and i have been looking around lately to see whats about....Damn you GAS! I must resist temptation
:dons shiny suit: :stalks: -
Quite a lot of wear and missing a couple of knobs, but £135 BIN? This might be a bargain. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IBANEZ-SOUNDGEAR-BASS-GUITAR-/251786071743?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3a9f9e8ebf

Steinberger Spirit headless four-string, passive, 34" scale, in flameburst. Weight is 3.6kg (8lb). Comes with its original (basic) gigbag. Small enough to fit a guitar case. Near pristine - it has a couple of scratches which you have to look hard for (I've tried to photograph them but it's not easy) and some wear on one of the pups and the rear strap button. Pics: http://s1295.photobu...t?sort=3&page=1 Bought here a couple of years ago. Selling because I'm not using it and I could use the space and the cash. Trades considered; I like Peaveys £250 plus carriage.

£50 posted. One more for the clearout: Cheapo P-style bass for a project. Neck, body, and scratchplate only. Bought from eBay; probably a Hohner originally (thanks Tommorichards ). Body is ply; the mark on the lower horn has been removed. There are various small marks and scratches. Headstock has been hand-painted matt black, but has flaked where the string tree was added. The trussrod turns. The scratchplate is marked where someone has grunched up the control onto it - invisible from more than a couple of feet away. Weight is 2.9kg (6lb 6oz). Neck is 63.5mm at heel, 41mm at nut.
