1. Where based? Thanks
2.
Surely only Conan The Barbarian could ever tame such a beast.
Surely only a barbarian would consider it...
3. I used to do little fills under the guitarist. But we were talking about All Right Now ...
4. That is surprising.
5. Bargain! I should have kept mine
6. I should not have sold my Yamaha BBN5. Basic, for sure, but it was comfortable and played nicely. The B string was decent for the price, IMO.
7. Be aware that Parcelforce don't insure musical instruments.
8. It looks like something ran it over. (The Epi, not the Supro.)
9. Adrian bought my Steinberger Spirit. I dropped it off with him and we spent a pleasant hour talking about basses and why he really needs to stay well out of the For Sale forums A thoroughly nice bloke and I'd be pleased to deal with him again.
10. I liked that
11. Thanks
12.
Now you mention that... I currently use just the one pedal. A tuner. One input, one output. All I need to do is put the lead from the 'tuner out' at the back of the amp into the 'input' of the tuner. Without my glasses on I can't see what is written on the tuner, nor can I remember which way round it is from the general shape and configuration. But even statistically you would think I could get it right half the time? No.
Been there, done that. Tippex
13. I've got a short-scale fretless Prosebass single-cut J-J; it's lovely, and I wish I could do it justice. Skint, I fear.
14.
8lbs. That's not very much, is it. Edit - I need to think about this. I have been going into a bit of a buying frenzy lately and really ought to calm down. But it is a lovely bass, Mike! I'd trade you for one of my Peaveys except you've already bought them all
8lb is not that much. It feels quite chunky, somehow, probably because it's small. No hurry
15. I'm in Poole, working in eastern Bournemouth (Pokesdown/Boscombe). It weighs 3.6kg, 8lb (fishing scales).
16. It balances pretty much where you put it; when I put it on it sits comfortably with the neck tipped up to a comfortable height, sort of armpit level. The neck feels slim to me; it's 39mm at the nut/zero fret, so it might feel skinny to you if you prefer a P. There is a tendency to slide off the end to start with, but I found that didn't last (IMO they should flare the end of the neck slightly, like the Aria Sinsonidos).
17.
Interested...would be ideal for home practice in my small 'lair', better than constantly banging the headstock of my P into the walls! Give me an hour or two to think it over....don't suppose you're heading this way again any time soon are you?
No rush I could come past you next weekend, triangular detour on my way to Bristol; or the weekend of the 14th Feb.
18.
Could you tell me what the scale length is please?
hi Dave, it's 34". (Now edited into the OP.)
