1. Having a P-pup at the bridge is definitely a good option. It works well on its own (Vox Standard) and gives extra attack when used with a P-pup in the normal position. Hmmm. Now I'm wondering what it would sound like with a P pup at the bridge, and a J at the neck. :wanders off to look for a castle near discreet:
2. Hmm. Anyone tried flattened-5th tuning? That would give open octaves...
3. blue-grey marble
4. Flats and rounds?
5. Too many strings for me to be happy with it, sadly. (Also, no money... )
6. Ooooh... and I'm skint. (Probably just as well...) Good luck with the sale
7. Sold subject to the usual. Edit: Buyer appears to have lost interest.
8.
Pm'd
Replied.

10.
I'ld have it myself if I had the $$
This
11.
Fret dress, new nut and jack socket. https://imageshack.com/a/fTmz/1 (Edit: And new strings!)
Cool. If it was me I'd change the knobs for something darker, but to each etc. These are fine basses, you won't be sorry you bought it
12. This thread has definitely jumped the moon.
13. David Bowie is The Knife's silent partner.
14. Amp with headphone socket
15. There's usually one up on eBay. I wouldn't have it if you paid me, personally.
16. Fireworks. I hate them.
17. Got a black one somewhere... I need to get it out and play with it (oo-err Matron!). As I recall, it's pretty good. (It's on my list of "I don't play this, I should sell it", so if you're after a second-hand one then let me know. Cheeky, or what...)
18. I have used one of these http://www.diy.com/departments/floplast-grey-soil-pipe-dia110mm-l1m/245701_BQ.prd Probably overkill
19.
Another one in Hampshire, I think - hard to be sure because of the rotten pic, but the headstock shape is right. I've asked the seller to confirm (and where in Hampshire he is, given it's collection-only). Hmm.
20.
these http://www.musik-pro...i-staender.html
These are OK but do be careful and make sure the vertical arm is actually locked up... I put a bass on mine once, and it sagged backwards into the wall with a nasty clunk.
21. Oddly, I'm not "amazed by how rare this is". Sometimes things are rare for a very good reason...

23. Vox Standards had DiMarzios, IIRC. Mine is a bit weedy but has great tone if you crank it up
