1. I've never ever seen a bass with all the saddles lined up like that.
2. Well worth £37 for the neck, if it's decent.
3.
Glad you still have it. I had some fun with them - was going to keep one but decided to let go and one day make a "Tribute" but in 34" scale. One day! As you know, the tonal differences, as you slide along, are quite interesting and varied. Cheers.
It definitely says things about bass tones and how to get them.
4.
There ya go, Devon and Dorset, great minds think alike :-)
5. I might go for this, if I could stand the headstock... Aria Pro II 2 ii (apparently, I don't know Arias). P-P-J pup config, which I'm definitely interested by. 6. I've got one which I had from FlatEric (thanks mate ). I don't play it much, but I'll never sell it. What a great design, and what a great sound. Also if you run the pup back to the bridge, either rail is perfectly balanced as a carry handle
7.
Speaking of thin-on-the-ground Fenders... anyone ever seen a 1980s Performer bass? I love the body shape, not sure about the headstock.
There was one on eBay maybe a year back. IIRC starting bid was £600. Or maybe £900. I did think it was the best-looking Fender bass I'd seen, but I'm not a Fenderhead..
8. They do look great, these... good luck with your sale
9. If I didn't have one already ... (actually mine's a C4, IIRC)
10. I've the five-string version. It's a nice bass, plays well, sounds good.
11. There will be lots of people by very soon to explain all the bonuses of playing fingerstyle Personally I don't see what you've got to lose. It won't stop you playing with a pick.
12. Welcome from nowhere near Kent
13.
GAS: I had to look that up. I have that from time to time.
I have this free piece of advice: Stay out of the BC Market Place, otherwise you will find you know exactly what GAS means Welcome aboard

Gone

That's a really nice colour
15. Okay, what is this? It looks very Westone Thunder 1, but not named and the headstock is a little different. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Guitar-make-unknown-/231291602812?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item35da0dc77c
16.
That's a strap button very usual on old basses.
Ahh, thank you. Of course it is...
17. Wow. Jaw-dropping.
18. I see that the string tree seems to be run right through the headstock to another on the back. That looks weird. Is it normal for basses of that age?
19.
That's great, but then does anyone know of a mini forklift device that can get the cab into the car? I nearly kill myself trying to do this on my own.
I believe these are called "drummers".
20. Working on 'A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square' at the moment. I don't think the words have held up well, but the tune is great
21.
Could you just not put a thumb rest on the bass you have in a comfy position for you?
This.
22.
Can't speak about the bass but I've had two Adam Black acoustics and they're stunning value for money. Have a free bump
Thanks
