bass pod users?
out of interest have you ever managed to get it to download patches via usb?
Never tried it, sorry.
2. I haven't, nor have I any easy way of getting them. I'll have a think and see what I can arrange.

bass pod users?

I have an old-style bean-shaped Bass Pod. Its inputs are: 6mm jack, midi in, pedal. So, this version doesn't. HTH
4. I bought flatwounds from L. They came by myHermes, who were not quick but did the job. No problems here. Thanks L
5. I'm just going to stick my neck out here and suggest tuning in fourths, but from D rather than E... because sometimes that blue low D is really nice, if you're in E. But I've given up fives anyway
6. ^ gives a whole new meaning to 'neck dive'...
7.
Is it a genuine vintage tea-chest bass, or is it a new relic'd version? The tea they used in the 60's was quite different, and had a wonderful tone.
Especially for playing the cha-cha.
8. Forgive my curiosity - Where is the truss rod access? Or are there two TRs? It looks as if there's a cutout in the body, but also a channel behind the nut.
9. ooooh... Sadly, out of my range Good luck with your sale
10. That there is your actual mutant beast. I wonder what it sounds like? (Not that it makes much odds to me, since I can't play either...) I wouldn't buy it though; gold sparkle??! Ew.

Kevsy71

I bought some strings. All went well and I'd be happy to deal with Kev again. Thanks
12. Some of the audience liked us. I didn't like us. New bass worked OK, but like all P-basses I struggle to hear what I'm playing.
13. Not necessary to redrill the tuner screw hole; trim a matchstick to fit the hole snugly, cut it a touch too short, put it in the hole, drive the screw (you will need a screwdriver which actually fits the screw head properly). Done. PMed re the J neck.
14. I've a bitsa fretless I put together from a Hohner neck and an anonymous (Kay?) P-body from eBay. It's lovely. Not The One, perhaps, but I will never part with it.
15. They are astounding for the price.
16. I had a trashed one - headstock cut back, body ruined, cut to a paddle shape and repaired with car body filler. The pup sounded great, very warm. The wood has gone but the bits remain. Thanks for the gen - I never knew what it was
17. If you do decide you want to sell it here, here is the place to do it: http://basschat.co.uk/forum/19-basses-for-sale/ and this thread contains valuable info: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/183234-rule-changes-to-marketplace-36-hour-bumping-rule-and-trade-valuations/ Nothing stops you posting here and asking for advice, as far as I know. Lots of people post their pics on Photobucket and then post a link here.
18. I particularly like the third photo. Most informative.
19. ten-day bump. No hurry
20.
I had a 4 string Cirrus BXP which I gigged for a couple of years, it was a great bass but it had a really high output level which would sometimes over drive the amp if you got carried away when you were playing and it also got through batteries really quickly, is the 9 volt version you have the same ?
The early 18-volt Cirrus BXPs ate batteries, for sure; some sort of wiring fault. The later ones were fine. I don't know about the 9-volt. They are fine basses
21. Pretty Where do you get strings for it?
