1.
I have looked at it's close but........
You're just havana laugh.
2.
I believe it's an Aria? Not sure though. I remember seeing a similar one here for sale. Colour was blue and is a 4 string one.
That was my Aria GT 4. I don't know how common the fives are but £100 would be a good price IMO.
3.
... I've accidentally bought a 24 fret neck for it ...
4. I like it as it is. There are heaps of basses out there which really ought to be modded. This one is cool as is; leave it alone.
5. Too many strings for me... But it does look cool. I hope it's The One
6. I have heard that originally bass-player's picks were made of leather, and basses were designed for playing with leather picks. I don't know how true this is. I do know I've got some leather picks, and that I can't play with them any more than I can with plastic picks...
7. Hm. I think I know who the seller is... I'd be surprised if it's not real.
8. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...atchlink:top:en I've a five-string defret in the same gorgeous colour... it's a lovely thing. I have to say I'm tempted, even though I have a silly number of basses already.

Martin and I traded, his Markbass flanger/chorus for my Aria GT4. Sound guy, I'd be pleased to deal with him again. Thanks!
10. I bought his J-style mirror scratchplate. His side of the transaction was excellent (mine, not so much... sorry mate), and I'd deal with him again without any hesitation.
11. My parents gave me Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and the Weavers. Holst I got from my primary school. Yes and Hawkwind and The Doors came from people at secondary school. Most of the rest comes from John Peel.
12.
So nobody listened to Mud, Bay City Rollers or David Cassidy...
Mud were OK. I hated the Rollers, could hear nothing in Cassidy. David Essex' 'Lamplight' blew my socks off.
13. I've got a P-style body I think is Paulownia. It played and sounded well enough with a J-ish fretless neck, looks the mutt's; weighs not much at all.
14. Schallers. Not that I actually have much need of them, TBH. PS: I don't like Grolsch.
15.
See, Morrissey might be a twat but lyrically and vocally what he does in The Smiths is unmitigated genius as far as I'm concerned. People keep telling me they don't like him but my brain cannot comprehend that concept. Its a bit like saying "there are no foods that I like" or "I don't like reading". I mean, sure, you can think that if you like...but, what???
Yup.
16.
If you suffer back/neck problems and need a light bass I'd seriously consider an Aria Sinsonido (spelling corrected). They do literally weigh nothing and have a decent tone... probably not best suited to a 'ROCK' band but saying that I used mine once in my rock covers band and it sounded great with a few raised eyebrows... and compliments later in the evening!
This. Fretted and fretless models available
17. Good luck , and good for you for going to the GP.
18. Now I'm curious... What does it sound like?
19. It looks like a Burns to me, from the split pickguard, but that's all I've got. I certainly don't know them well enough to know if the body shape is right. Possibly a refin? I'm sure someone with some actual knowledge will be along soon
20.
I think the real problem is that "the bass neck has been deferred". Never de-fret to tomorrow what can be de-fretted until the day after ...
On-board delay pedal?
21.
I would have thought there must be a way to do this without too many problems... e.g. sending pics privately via email, etc... Now some of this stuff here is very nice, and not too pricey, either... *displays range of questionable under-the-counter goods*
Login-only?
22. I'm sure both your wife and your daughter will be eternally grateful
