I bought Jaffa tape from Gav a couple of months back, forgot to note it here - sorry mate. Also, just bought a couple of pedals. Well packed, good comms, good guy. Plus there was case candy I'd deal with him again without hesitation.

However, go here basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1 for a search of the bass marketplace here - that will give you some idea of what they go for here (most of those are fives or sixes, but that tells its own story - four-strings are relatively rare here, if anything).

I have the impression that the earlier Grinds (like the OP's, I think) are rated more highly than recent production. I think it was BCer (and mod ) Shockwave who said that, maybe six months back? IIRC someone was selling a six-string Grind? Either way, pics would help. (And I might be interested - I like Peaveys )

IMO it depends on what you're doing. If you need a bass to record with, then it sounds as if the limited-ed should be your recording bass. If it's too precious/expensive ever to gig with, and you're not doing anything else with it, then I wonder if it's only going to make you unhappy with your other basses?

Unlined, active. It was well worth the price. Knobs were a bit iffy (one wasn't in straight). The nut was way too high, though I didn't know that at the time. It had heaps of sustain, played acoustically. The Squier VMJ is good too.

Also, I have a Krappy triple-neck. I am not entirely sure what it's good for (microtuning?), but it's great for making people go - often all at once...

I'd come to a Morphine-themed gig (I've taken two strings off my Kramer The Duke... figure the aluminium neck is rigid and won't be affected by lack of string tension. Also the pup is somewhat mis-spaced so with only two strings I can get round that. Now I need to persuade the new girl at work to start playing baritone sax again...)

I'm pleased it works well for you It's too nice to part out, in my opinion. I wish I'd thought of T-Cut. I doubt I'd have had the nerve to try it though. The Yamaha is heavy, but I'm only likely to play it sitting down so I am not too worried. (Also, I have a T-40...)
