what are T-40 necks like?
2. I live in Poole. I should be able to do what's needed. I've got materials as well (they are bass-sized, but that should be manageable). PM me?
3. Eels, 'Daisies Of The Galaxy'.
4. These are very instructive. Try one out, and hear how much difference pickup position makes. After that it's very hard to believe that woods make much real difference, for me at least. 5. Pretty I'm not good enough to go for unlined fretless, yet. Otherwise I'd nab it.
6. I've got a Yamaha RBX200F, plays very nicely with flats on (don't know about rounds). They cost £100 or so second-hand and if I didn't have one already I'd buy one without hesitation.
7. Bought Mike's Aircell strap. Nice clean deal, delayed only because I forgot to tell him my address Recommended.
8. another fan here.
9.
I heard these are good for slapping
Dunno. Pretty sure you can play metal on them though.
10.
http://en.wikipedia....Link_%28unit%29
Damn it... it's never as funny when it has to be explained. Especially to me In fact, it appears that I made a rod for my own back.
11.
Lost..? Here's the link again... http://www.gumtree.c...rule/1011958819
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ell
12.
Saw one of theses at a Quo gig when I met Ric.
what the ell are you on about?
13.
This thread went off on the wrong foot...
It's light-years away from the OP.
14. Has it gone yet? I didn't expect it to be up furlong, TBH.
15.
Although these are eminently portable their tone and sustain leaves a lot to be desired.
And they're hard to use - I've never been able to fathom it.
16. I had one of those once, but it got half-inched.
17. Sorry, but I'm a bit confused. Is it priced at £50, or at £100?
18.
I have a foot-long piece of wood, but I don't use it as a rule.
I LOLed
19. I think Neepheid is right.
20. I missed out on this one last time through dithering. Hmm... :dithers:
21. I had a look at the S U B yesterday while I was collecting the Ubass. Neat little beast, and I had to make sure I didn't look for too long
22. I bought Bob's Kala Ubass. A good transaction. A gentleman, a fine player and very welcoming, despite the remnants of family illness - I hope you're (both) feeling better Bob! I'd have no hesitation in dealing with him again. Thanks Bob
23. I'm with BassTractor on this. Personally I play mine in a sort of upright style, using a strap tied above the nut and on the lower strap button. That makes it sit almost like a cello. (Remove the other strap button.) Also, the Pahoehoe low-tension polyurethane strings are more robust and stable than the silicone Fenders.
24. Bought a stand from Mel; good comms, quick despatch, sensible packing, all happy
