1. That bass looks pretty, but I'm not sure about the headstock. Still, I reckon I'd get used to it if it had cost me £88 and sounded and played nicely Welcome aboard, anyway!
2. bluejay said it better than I would have Welcome aboard! (And be prepared to find that in six months you've got rid of all your old basses... and bought at least as many!)
3. oooh... this is probably the worst place you could possibly be, if you can't stretch to another bass right now. GAS is lurking round the corner... Welcome aboard
4. Hi. I doubt you'll learn much from me, but there are lots of proper players here
5.
I suspect that you'll soon get pi**ed off with requests for duelling banjos.
Play it on a bass instead
6. (I thought I posted in this thread already. Curious.) I agree with iconic, you've got bigger balls than me (The Hohner neck off your LPB jazz is now on a Kay or Avon Rose P body, and very nice it is too - cheers
7.
+1, don't know Howard personally, had a plate made by him, all the pages of +feedback says it all really.
Likewise. Bought a scratchplate from him recently, turnround was fine, he kept me informed and I have no complaints. I hope he's OK.
8. Siouxsie and the Banshees, 'Suburban Relapse'. Before that it was John Surman, 'Whistman's Wood'.
9. ooohh... nasty I'm a bit surprised that's even repairable, n00b that I am.
10. Great thread idea, and I'm glad it works well for some of us
11. ... and not a Fender body. Hmmm.
12. The RBX200 is in better nick than mine, and cheaper too. Someone should snap that up, sharpish
13. I had fun on my own Usual practice cancelled, so I stayed home and messed about with a recent acquisition (Aria GB, which I will be selling because I don't get on with the neck - otherwise it's pretty good) and an old mate (Yamaha RBX200 fretless, which I love to bits even though I can't play fretless for toffee). I haven't enjoyed a solo practice/twiddle that much for ages.
14. Lasted 47 seconds. Can't stand the voice.
15. Did you get round to trying for neck-dive? Will you post?
16. Is it fretted? It's hard to tell from the pics.
17. I've a Peavey Cirrus BXP which is 35". I don't play it much, but I notice no difference from 34" basses.
18.
Why on earth not?
I'm kind of clumsy... I mean, there are only 200 of the things, tops.
19. I bought Luke's Bass Pod. Good comms, quick delivery (despite problems with post offices), well packed, all happy. Nice guy as well. Thank you Recommended!
20. I'd guess that hiring an instrument three times would cost enough that you could get a good-enough backup for the same money. As I said, I'm guessing.
21. "I own a few of these ... " !! I forget where I heard it, but apparently these are horrible to play... I wouldn't dare pick the thing up, personally.
22.
... I was talking to the wide-to-be about the fact.
Um, I recommend you edit this comment, because her bum looks big in it...
23. I think your sale will go better if you provide pictures - especially since this is such an unusual bass. Good luck!
24.
Guys, wake up !!! £200.00 for an NT Peavey, people are askin' more for freakin' Wasburns!!! Pay Mr Brick Toilet now, now!!!
+1
