  1. Interesting., from my entirely ignorant perspective . Clever trigger mechanism. The strum/sample trigger feels like the trickiest bit from the user POV, because you will tend to get a single combination of sounds. Making it programmable is possible, I guess, but that sounds like a can of worms to use live. For studio stuff it seems fine though? . Could you put a guitar-chord sample on it? I don't see a reason to restrict yourself to drums
  2. Nice colour! Lucky for me, I am not looking for fretted fives... GLWYS!
  3. You're not wrong There is a big difference between learning your own part and playing with the whole band.
  4. Allegedly the traditional tuning was "to the studio piano" - presumably because that was hardest/slowest to tune.
  5. Could you put a string guide over that headstock crack?
  6. That's got to be uncomfortable to play sitting down.
  7. It's clearly good for sole. Metal, maybe not so much?
  8. I like the stand. Very organic-looking.
  9. That looks like a Danelectro with a hangover.
  10. Isn't that a thing sellers should include in the thread title?
  11. I wonder if you could put an arched bridge on it... I want to hear it played arco
  12. Shame they don't do a fretless version :) Good luck with your sale!
  13. I have (still) a Kramer The Duke. (I've tried to sell it twice now... both times screwed up, not either buyer's fault.) I suppose I'll post it again at some stage. It sounds more like an octave-down electric than a "conventional" bass - I don't know how much of that is the pickup, I suppose the aluminium neck must have some effect. I did find it hard to keep in tune, but the design is not great and that may well be part of the problem.
  14. I heard him talking about it on Radio 6 a few weeks back. I may have misunderstood.
  15. IIRC he is donating all the proceeds to charity.
  16. Um. If this is a real Moollon, I'd advise you to remove the word "copy". If not a real Moollon, then it's probably wise to say to in the title.
