  1. Doing the forensics is always interesting
  2. Reflection of a lampshade. But yeah, looks almost like a baby speaker.
  3. My favourite band, bar none, till about 1978. After that I lost interest. Hall Of The Mountain Grill is not given the respect it deserves, IMO.
  4. We can always refer to the earlier parts of the thread for inspiration. Hindsight is 20-20.
  5. Nice! And I don't even like burst finishes...
  6. I've been meaning to ask, Mick; is that a bowler?
  7. If we box clever, we might get four or six more of these cricket-related puns in here.
  8. Well, I suppose being maiden Germany must be pushing the price up. Though I still think that's a slip.
  9. I pay a charge for my prescription. I am concerned that imported medication (along with other imports) will suffer delays. That is likely, given that there is no way that the necessary customs and excise software has been tested properly in the time available, and that the training can't be begun for most users before December, and that any faults in the software will have one month - with public holidays - to be fixed and retested before the whole system goes live. So yes, I am sure there will be delays. Meanwhile, those who already have lots of money will be able to short sterling.
  10. Well, let's start with being unemployed... And no amount of money is going to compensate if I can't get prescription medication.
  11. I think it's the other way round, isn't it? So far, anyway. I've no idea how far it will fall, after the end of 2020. But that has no bearing on whether it will fall or not. Which said, my best guess is parity or a bit worse, maybe 90 cents to the pound, in about June; things should be more stable by then. All those currency traders are trading at that price now, and they will adjust their pricings as time goes on. As they do, all the time; because that is how they make their money. What they trade at now has no bearing on the price in January.
  12. The likely collapse in the value of the pound will have more of an effect, IMO.

    Sold!

I wish I'd kept my old BBN5 Good luck with your sale!
  14. I'd be all over this, if I actually had an income... GLWYS!
  15. Strike that, the poor sod will just wind up spending more than £3K in the For Sale anyway
  16. TBH I'm more surprised at only two photos, for a bass which you could reasonably expect to fetch well north of 2K. That doesn't seem scammy either; seller not used to eBay, more likely. Maybe the best thing to do is introduce them to BC
  17. Jealous... :) When I've got an income again, I'll be after one of those.
  18. Given the comment by dudewheresmybass above, the photo was probably removed about 20 hours ago.
  19. On the picture of the back of the headstock. Which has been removed, it appears.
  20. Well, since the bass doesn't have six strings, I doubt it's my eyesight that's the problem.
  21. Can't be that many out there - might be interesting for someone who wants a matching case? (Usual caveats apply... I bought a hardcase which stank of tomcat once. Left it in the shed over the summer, which helped a bit, but eventually junked it...) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Bass-Guitar-Case-Aria-Pro-2/392966823076?hash=item5b7ea5dca4:g:grYAAOSwZfNfeEsx
  22. It's hard to know quite what's going on here - I'll assume an honest mistake - but that headstock picture is not from the bass... ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peerless-Bassmaster/143770880418?hash=item21796989a2:g:TpQAAOSwY8hfZ7DX
