  1. I suspect that would be seen as fraudulent. It's not as though you could provide the goods in question, after all. So it would be high risk if you had any sort of reputation.
  2. That would be a stupid idea if someone made it in his shed. Asking for money for it? - that's perilously close to fraud.
  3. I thought he was a Womble?
  4. In Loughborough... I think that might be within his range, as well.
  5. I always thought their idea of a pick was who would be in the team...
  6. So did you give it away, or was it a customer? (I mean, I certainly would, if I'd got it.) Inquiring minds, etc. etc..
  7. Do nylon-coated strings survive picks well? I'm thinking about trying this, but I'm not keen to write off a set of strings in the process. Anyone else tried? Thoughts on pick stiffness and material? All Most thoughts gratefully received
  8. Hm. I wonder how it compares to this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/aria-pro-ii-bass-Guitar-ZZB-deluxe/254049411117?hash=item3b2686602d:g:eREAAOSwNeVbgFup
  9. I'm not sure that will help...
  10. So more in a musique concrete direction, then?
  11. Interesting to hear, but not really my thing. I do like some of the other stuff on their Bandcamp site, so thanks for that
  12. It's amazing, isn't it?
  13. ... if any prospective buyer can get over the shape of the headstock, that is. Astounding. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Framus-Les-Paul-Bass-Bj-68-Vintage-selten-Hofner-Klira-Bassgitarre/362523232934?hash=item5468118aa6:g:JRIAAOSwpEdbXfFY
  14. My guesses: If it's just (!) a revision to the headstock and a new bridge, it'll probably be tunable. It might be really muddy though. If seller has put on a new neck of a different length, and the body hasn't been revised to handle it... very unlikely.
  15. If it was me, I'd put the price drop in the thread title too
  16. Well, I guess at least it's not prone to neck dive...
  17. I bought strings from Graham. All went well, prompt and with good communications. I'd be happy to deal with him again
  18. I applaud the sneaky positioning of the Christmas tree
  19. IMO, "other musically-related items" (as mybass says). Here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/21-other-musically-related-items-for-sale/?sortby=start_date&sortdirection=desc Or if you contacted a moderator, they might move it for you.
  20. SS Great Britain is well worth a visit, if you've not been. I must go again
  21. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273613686777?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI273613686777.N36.S1 It's hideous reliced, but I reckon it would strip nicely.
  22. Not my thing. I agree part of the problem is the overspray around the pickup, but that's not all of it. But I am not a Fender fan, so...
