    My guesses: If it's just (!) a revision to the headstock and a new bridge, it'll probably be tunable. It might be really muddy though. If seller has put on a new neck of a different length, and the body hasn't been revised to handle it... very unlikely.

    Not my thing. I agree part of the problem is the overspray around the pickup, but that's not all of it. But I am not a Fender fan, so...

    Haven't bought much this year; strings, and a Yamaha TRB5 ii fretless. Which I'm not comfortable with; it may have to go.

    Thanks. That leaves me somewhat puzzled, because my old SB301 had Gotoh tuners, no MIJ stamp, and an atypical serial number. Consensus here was that it was probably a pre-production Korean build, made while SGC were still trying to decide where the production should go. That's why I described it as I did.
