  1. ... if any prospective buyer can get over the shape of the headstock, that is. Astounding. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Framus-Les-Paul-Bass-Bj-68-Vintage-selten-Hofner-Klira-Bassgitarre/362523232934?hash=item5468118aa6:g:JRIAAOSwpEdbXfFY
  2. My guesses: If it's just (!) a revision to the headstock and a new bridge, it'll probably be tunable. It might be really muddy though. If seller has put on a new neck of a different length, and the body hasn't been revised to handle it... very unlikely.
  3. If it was me, I'd put the price drop in the thread title too
  4. Well, I guess at least it's not prone to neck dive...
  5. I bought strings from Graham. All went well, prompt and with good communications. I'd be happy to deal with him again
  6. I applaud the sneaky positioning of the Christmas tree
  7. IMO, "other musically-related items" (as mybass says). Here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/21-other-musically-related-items-for-sale/?sortby=start_date&sortdirection=desc Or if you contacted a moderator, they might move it for you.
  8. SS Great Britain is well worth a visit, if you've not been. I must go again
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273613686777?_trksid=p2047675.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI273613686777.N36.S1 It's hideous reliced, but I reckon it would strip nicely.
  10. Not my thing. I agree part of the problem is the overspray around the pickup, but that's not all of it. But I am not a Fender fan, so...
  11. Did this sell?
  12. :like:
  13. Haven't bought much this year; strings, and a Yamaha TRB5 ii fretless. Which I'm not comfortable with; it may have to go.
  14. Tempting, isn't it... just as well it's not an SR505. Good luck with the sale, Mr Blank
  15. And as usual, I have no dosh and arrive too late... (also I put a defret neck on my Farida J, which works well enough). Ah well...
  16. Hm... Tempting.
  17. Blimey... I hope someone actually restores that.
  18. Thanks. That leaves me somewhat puzzled, because my old SB301 had Gotoh tuners, no MIJ stamp, and an atypical serial number. Consensus here was that it was probably a pre-production Korean build, made while SGC were still trying to decide where the production should go. That's why I described it as I did.
  19. 'Tother thread is here:
  20. Not far from me. Not labelled as Made In Japan though. So it may be one of the Korean pre-production basses? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Collection-Bass-Guitar-by-SGC-Nanyo-with-Original-Case/132882989629?hash=item1ef071823d:g:FhIAAOSwkHxcDTdf
  21. Sad day
